Phone Number: VOIP or Landlines?

I see that VOIP usage is booming and it seems very handy to internet marketing like us. However, most offer 'pay per min' rate.

I was looking at landlines (cell) the other day at around $25 unlimited text/voice/call display/voice mail etc. Pretty much everything except data.
The problem with this is that - this will mean I will have to carry 2 cell phones around all the time.

What do you guys use for business? Any inputs and thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks

    I've been using grasshopper.com for about 7 months now and pay $24 a month for 500 minutes a month. That includes a toll free # and the cool feature is that you can set up multiple extensions that ring any phone # that you choose. Now you don't need another cell.

    Great for giving yourself a larger presence than just a one man show if that appeals to you.

    Another neat feature is that you can have a fax sent to the same # and it stores it for you as a pdf in you admin area.

    A dedicated online companies now offer these reverse phone number lookup directory. There is a small fee to access these records. This is because cell phone numbers are considered private. Reverse directory has paid a lot of money, mobile phone operators to access its database. You will pay a small fee to help offset these costs.

    I use Google Voice with an Obihai box to connect to a desk phone.

    If you need multiple numbers/mailboxes and virtual attendants, you may want to try RingCentral.
