      1) Create a website mockup with a good Keyword Domain Name like this one .... Houston Discount Roofing Contractors - Emergency Roof Repairs 713-242-1651/ (This is just an Example)

      2) Send an email to 5 businesses in that niche with the following Subject Line; "I've created a Website for you!" (Curiosity will get those interested to OPEN it)

2a) Then in the Body; "Consumers are using the Internet nowadays to find information. A Website can bring you more business. I've created a Website that can bring you more business. Take a look and get back to me...before a competitor does!

      http://houstondiscountroofing.com/

      John Smith...555-1234

      3) On the site you can also have, "This Website is for Sale!"

There is NO "wondering what kind of site you can create for them!...it's right there...in front of their eyes. All they have to do is "Claim" it!

What is it about prospecting that you can't stand?

For most people, the two sources of discomfort are:

    1. You don't believe people are going to answer their phones.

    2. You don't believe people are going to value what you have to say.

People make calls, then feel bad because most prospects aren't available. Then when they do get the chance to talk to someone, they feel hurt when the prospect isn't interested.

Let's take a closer look at these two issues.

First, half the people you call aren't going to be in. And of those that are, half of those aren't going to be able to talk. Yes, they'll answer their phones, but they really can't talk right now.

You, me, everybody is down to this average when calling: one in four calls, usually, will get to someone who is ready to talk to you. 1 in 4. So is getting 'hurt' every time someone isn't in their office a good idea? Of course not. It's just reality.

Second, if you really believe that what you offer is valuable, then you know that you bring value to the table every time. Whether the prospect acknowledges it or not. If you truly know, deep down, that you are trying to help others with every conversation, it does not matter how individual prospects respond.

Jerks qualify themselves Out fast. Good, thank you!

Should you feel hurt because a jerk is a jerk to you? Isn't that silly?

I suspect you're trying to convert everyone you talk to into a customer. This simply isn't going to happen. Concentrate on delivering the message, as John Durham suggests within the thread I just linked to. Not converting. Let the prospects qualify themselves In or Out. Qualify enough of them, and you will get plenty who qualify In.

In the meantime, don't feel hurt and shut yourself down because people aren't available to take your call, or don't respond to your call with exclamations of joy. Just steadily move along, delivering your message and allowing prospects to qualify themselves In or Out. It's actually quite stress-free, when you adopt this mindset.

You really can't ask some one to sell for a part time business, which to me is really a hobby if you are only doing it part time. The person doing the selling won't make much if any money soliciting part time for you so your model is already set up to fail.

I have my doubts that anyone who has made requests of this type has been sucessful in finding someone to market for them (at least in this thread). It might be helpful to offer some information about what you bring to the table in terms of your business experience.

You may be the world's greatest web designer, seo expert, or perhaps you've designed a new flux capacitor. But if you are talking about some type of "partnering", a sucessful sales person wants to know what you bring to the table that couldn't be found in the Warriors For Hire Forum.

What is your background and experience in managing a business. What assurance would I have that you would be there to support what you're asking me to sell? Remember that I've worked hard to develop a client list and I need to know that I am not risking a relationship that is more valuable to me than it would be to you.

Why would working with you be more profitable to me than just farming out the same work?

I think the reality is that long distance relationships don't work very well in romance or business.

Of course, there are some exceptions and I'm sure a few people can point to a few endeavors of this type that have worked out. Business partnerships are difficult to maintain even with people that you have had long relationships with. If I were in your position, I would offer my services as a subcontractor (ie, warrior for hire) and start networking locally. By networking I don't mean selling, clearly sales is not for everyone, I mean searching for a business partner that you can coordinate with properly.

It's funny you say you hate cold calling because that's exactly how I am. Talking to somebody on the phone can make me feel uncomfortable at times. I'm extremely social in person but it's weird not knowing how the person on the other end will react.

I actually created a fiverr gig that helps a ton with this sort of thing. You should check it out and see if it's something you might be interested in. I have the ability to dig up email addresses, business owners names, social metrics, and more. The information honestly turns cold calling into "warm calling." Those words are coming straight from a local company I currently sell this information to
