I use a combo of fresh books and outright.

Fresh books is great for invoicing, and it links with outright to track income and expenses, and makes tax time easier.

It partly depends on how many transactions and the level of reporting and features you expect to need. Quickbooks is fine for bookkeeping. I have also used Netsuite if you need a more enterprise level solution.

I would go for a cloud based accounting software.

Xero is easily the best out there in my opinion, followed by saasu.

  Paypal intergration
  tax add-ons
  terms
  auto adds tax at rate you set
  sends invoice as an attachment
  tells yopu when invoice is due to
  email out again
  Has running totals of outstanding invoices
  2 taps and invoice is moved over into paid folder
  
  I can run my business from my hand, anywhere with my iphone and invoice2go.

I use Quickbooks, mainly because of the reporting capabilities. I also traded some video seo work with a local certified Quickbooks expert who keeps everything up to date for me.

I would go with Handdy Apps, as the feature of the software is the combination of both the Quickbooks and Excel. Of-course this software is completely free to manage our accounts and is also embedded with Google app engine to have the high data security.

tried Mint for any handful of months but I could not seriously see a advantage to it because it does not let you record transactions or spend bills.

I use quickbok that's built for the window 7 and not that it's a superior software package selection but what I like by far the most would be the complementary record transactions and sync back to my computer system version with the software package.

Quickbooks, though manly because I know it backwards and forwards by now. A company I worked for back in the late 80s used peachtree (sucked!) and then switched to Quicken, then Quickbooks so I stuck with it after learning it there. I only keep the basics of bookeeping though, so really, it's sort of overkill, but fast and easy for me so sticking with it lol

For my paper receipt roll business I use an iphone app called invoice2go.

Does everything I need and smoothly.

Doesn't need to connect with the accountant because all he wants are bank account statements.

A lot depends upon how complicated your current business operations are - if you track inventory, pay independent consultants, have a payroll, you will most likely be best served using Quickbooks.

If you simply cash affiliate checks, pay typical hosting and other such bills, you may wish to consider Quicken Home & Business which is what I have used since 1997 and it makes my life so much simpler.

My accountant recommended Xero and I'm glad he did. Really easy to use and at least in terms of online accounting software, it's the best I've used.

I like to use peachtree accounting software. In this software you can customize your all reports as well as design your company as you wish to set the codes. Its very easy to use and very nice style of reporting.

I use Netsuite, Accountmate and many software tried in my beginning stage. I am confused to choose which software is suitable to account management. One of my clients suggests Apptivo software. For Invoices, expenses report many integrated apps used to manage accounts. Try to reach them.
