Predicting increase in client revenue

I am looking at starting to provide Internet marketing services to local business. Many here don't have any online presence at all. I live in a small town of 20,000 people.

I understand the ideal approach, when meeting with potential clients, is to promote yourself based on the results you can deliver in the form additional customers, leads, calls etc. I also understand this is beneficial when establishing pricing as you can tie your costs to the increased business your services will provide.

My question is: how do you KNOW (or have a reasonably good guess) in advance how much your services will increase their business?

Thank you,

Greg

An easy simple way is to know ahead of time what there best selling product is.

Then based one your previous experience, you should know how much traffic you can drive.

You should also know, approx how much your system converts.

SO, if know you can drive 1000 visitors a day. and you know you can convert 10% into sales or leads, and you know what their best
seller is and how much it sells for. you now have a very rudimentary
    idea of the POTENTIAL.
