That is very clever Martin.. an idea which is simple to execute yet can have tremendously positive results for all involved. Instead of "occupying this or the other" we should be creative like you and roll up our sleeves, make some money. Great idea, thanks for sharing.

Hi Martin,
Very nice....and here's some food for thought.....

You've already got most of the work done to multiply x10....and then a lot more
You've got the attention of eleven business owners.

Try to get each one do the same thing with their business on the front.
Each biz will get 22,000 coupons out there.
Once they get get some positive measurable results, you'll be a hero and they'll also be receptive to other services with monthly recurring fees.

Then take your services down the road a bit and start over.....
This time it will be easier with some resume.

I'm setting up a local biz coupon site that will generate traffic in a similar fashion.
Simply handing dollar bill sized fliers with peoples change making them aware of the coupon site with their offerings.

you told that your friend places the flyers in his customers bags.
at which point he do it? when they enter to the store? when the are on their way out? when they are paying?

how in general looks his flyer? it offers discount? a general review of his products? or what?

My friend places the flyer in the customers bag as they are being checked out and paying.

I will try and post a picture of what the flyer looks like when I get a chance to take a picture of it and upload it here to the forum.

You rock dude! That passive income adds up and I am hooked on it. No one gets that people pay me money each month little sums of money that add up to larger sums of money. I certainly get it and am gearing EVERYTHING to that income.

Yeah, btw, flyers are still my number one "get an intro" service. Every business needs them.

I agree with you 100% creating passive income streams is great as you set things up and then outsourse the work and take a smaller residual profit month after month without having to do the majority of the work and like you said do this over and over again with different ideas and the money just keeps adding up and coming in.

I've checked the printing costs of the flyers and the lowest I can find is $116.90 plus shipping which comes out to a total of $145.73 for color on one side only on 80lb paper. Color both sides is $183.58. So we are not talking about a printing cost of $100 anymore and to keep the same profit, you would have to up your ads to $60 instead.

But, my printer's prices are for 2,500 flyers which is 500 more so charging a little more should not be a problem.

  You will have to ajust your ad prices based on what your printing costs are and what you would like to make for a profit per ad sale, etc.
  
  Also call around to different printers and get their printing prices and don't be afraid to tell a printer that you got a better price at x printer, because they will most likly offer you a better price to get you as a customer.

I would love to come up with a similar idea for online coupon advertising. Maybe using classified sites and digital flyers with coupon codes etc... It cuts out the printing cost.

There are all kinds of this deals for ppl out there if they are just willing to put a little work in. The possibilities are seriously endless when you just sit down and think of it.

-Provide value to the business
-Charge a reasonable rate
-Ability to show the business the possible ROI
-Reach a large amount of ppl

Of course there is more to it, but if you can find something that meets those criteria you have a good start.

Thanks Martin this is really cool idea. I agree that you have to think of your printing costs compared to the flyer. I wonder if you get a business owner who is not so cool with idea tell them that you he would get a cut of ads sold.
That way you have more incentive for them to come on board with the idea.
