Help me guys does link wheel concept still helps in SEO?

Because i have created some link wheel but didnt get proper SERP in it.

    Did you created the linkwheel yesterday of this week? You should wait until google will do the job. I use linkwheels in ranking videos and I can say that it works pretty well.

      Yes, but not as effective as they were years ago. I still use pyramids with decent effectiveness.

    In a word, no. The big G is primarily focusing now on social results. Who is sharing a site? What are they saying? How many G+'s is it getting?

    In bound links still count, but not as much as social proof. This from Google blogs. Look it up.

      Not really true... backlinks are higher importance than people sharing a site on google +. I think you misunderstood the blog entry, this update isn't taking any factors from twitter or facebook, only google +. In fact, that is another reason why congress will be looking more closely into google for foul play. This is a chance for another search engine to gain some momentum.

      Anyway, yes... linkwheels still work but there is a decay factor and it has been implemented since 2009ish i believe. You can still have success... I like linkpushing which is essentially like a link pyramid and that works fine.

      Yeap. My outsourcing guys do a whole lot of social bookmarking before backlinking, it has worked well to date.

        Interlinking sites and backlinking your linking urls works. But a true linkwheel can be spotted. PM me if you need help.

    I tend to linkwheel inside my site, but if you are doing profile link wheels you might want to be careful not to make them to big. They can leave huge footprints and could hurt your rankings. Try a link pyramid.

    Pyramids can harm your website big time. Yet, you can still make a pyramids for your videos, that wont harm your website.
    Like Cass Tyson said - social results are the key. Focus more on that.

    Even i realized that link wheel is very helpful in increasing the page rank. You can also create a link wheel among the guest blog sites bcoz these are the top ranked sites & helps to achieve the better results.

      You have to point some links to your linkwheel properties.

      They are worthless without some link love.

      I still use linkwheels successfully, but I social bookmark every linkwheel property and add 10,000-30,000 forum spam links to every property using Xrumer.

      This way I rank even for very very competitive keywords.
