New 'job' + How do I get $1,000+ per month clients? Suggestions needed

Hi everyone, first off let me start by saying I got a 'job' as a marketing consulting for a marketing firm! They needed someone with a background in IM, and thanks to this forum I blew them away with my knowledge and experience. I'm in the office now for the first day, it's great I set my own hours, don't have to 'clock in' or anything like that, my only 'rule' is that I make money.

Plus I'll also be working on my own passive income projects on the side. Couldn't be happier.

Now I've never had clients that pay $1,000/month or more. I plan to outsource a lot of the work and I'm not limited to one area (like SEO for example, I have well-rounded experience).

So please let me know how you guys get clients willing to pay good money, I know the value I'm just not used to asking for that much.

+ Any other tips and advice is welcome!

Learn how to call and you'll get good clients quickly.

Implement an SEO and email campaign, and it will take months but you'll get there.

Sounds like your "job" is to make someone else money doing exactly what you should be doing...hiring someone to find YOU high paying clients.

    Ironic. Unfortunately.

Man you're totally right. And man if you already know all that stuff why don't you just get clients for yourself?

Either way....there are tons of ways to get clients, hire telemarketers, door to door, email, direct mail, seo, PPC , referrals. The list goes on. You're goal is far to broad.

Whoever said the phone is right though, if you can make calls and prospect you'll get clients.

      Hope that helps.

Yeah Yeah I knew I'd be hearing that, I'm all about entrepreneurship been doing freelance work for the last two years. The home office just wasn't working for me, found myself procrastinating too much.

Anyways I'm not just working to make someone else money, I still get commissions & bonuses, access to prior clients, and some other good benefits. And like I said I'll be working on some projects of my own on the side.

So that being said, anyone have any more advice? I have no problem hitting the phones and that's what I plan to do. But what kind of packages do you guys offer that exceeds the $1,000/month mark?

It's not about the number of types of marketing you do. It's about finding the right clients with the right budget.

There are SEOs who charge banks $1000 an hour, and there are SEOs who charge other IMs $5 an hour.

You need to work on finding clients with big budgets who expect big ROI. You're not going to find them by cold calling or email lists. You'll end up with small business clients with a budget of $300/month at best.

There's no reason that you couldn't find those kind of clients by emailing or cold calling.
