A niche way to find VERY motivated clients

I just read about a local tanning salon finding a couple peepholes in the tanning rooms. Either done by a tradesman or customer.

Do you think they might be motivated by some new ways of marketing for new customers? Do you think they might be motivated to free up their budget for marketing for existing and new customers? Do you think they might be motivated to spend some serious money on reputation management?

Think of it as more ethical ambulance chasing

Think of all the businesses that you hear about in the media in these type situations. They are ripe to hear about your services and suddenly they are very motivated to "free up" their marketing budgets.

For all the businesses you might find in the media, there are tons more that are off the radar that seek out PR firms to help them. Most PR firms are old school, getting their info out on more traditional PR releases. How about doing a partnership with the PR firms to do mobile promotions, IM, and online reputation managment services to their clients? A win-win.

You must train yourself to listen for these type situations. Most people will automatically think like a consumer and just avoid these places when they hear about them. Entrepreneurs should smell opportunity!
