TIP - Getting 5-10 Prospects Sending You Emails Every Day!

A marketing technique that is working extremely well for me these days in my SEO company is direct email marketing.

The usual downsides of direct email marketing is:

-It can be time consuming
-It can become intrusive

But when done right, these two negatives can be turned into positives and I am about to show you how I do it without spending ANY time on it whatsoever.

Firstly, I outsource the entire project for someone who literally costs me under $2 per day. When you think I can close a $200/month deal per day doing this that cost is NOTHING.

I firstly found a cheap worker on oDesk who charged $2 per hour. I set him up with an email address from my main domain (sales@seojuice.net) and then sent him an email template and some instructions.

The instructions went as follows:

1. Here is a list of 500 cities in my country, here is a list of 10 professions I want to target.

2. Can you search in random order in Google the format "[city] [profession]". Choose a new one each day.

3. Pick 50 websites in the results to contact who may require SEO. If they have an email address send an email there and record the email addresses in a spreadsheet, if they only have a contact box use that instead and mention it in your spreadsheet.

4. Here is the email I want you to send to each client, Place their name and their business name in the appropriate spaces:
Hi [CONTACT NAME],I found your [COMPANY NAME] site in Google and would like to work with you.I run a successful SEO business based in West Sydney and would love to knowwhether you would be interested in reselling our services to your website customers? We can offer you reseller pricing on your own site if you are interested.Let me know your thoughts and I will shoot you through some more info.Kind Regards,
Dave Adamson
SEOJuice

Just 50 emails per day gets me anywhere from 5-10 INTERESTED prospects per day, and I close at least one per day! I might get a few polite "no thanks" but have only once got a negative email.

I honestly did not expect this method to work so well, but it does, and it costs nothing, and take no time to manage (other than replying to interested prospects of course).

Not only do I get business from them, I am often able to multiply this through providing reseller plans for their own clients.

There's a full time income for you

Of course nothing beats direct website visits through SEO, but I hope this helps for you

I love it man! This is an easy way to make a killing!

I've been on the email route myself, not sending out 50 a day, but I might have to check around Odesk and similiar places for someone like that.

One question, what professions have you had the most luck with?

Well as I do SEO I figured I need to get clients on board you have their own clients that have websites.

So, I targeted mainly web designers, graphic designers, social media companies, etc.

The web developers I have most success with as they were all willing to use us to rank their own website along with reselling and rebranding our SEO to supply to their own clients.

So not only do I write one email which multiplies by 50 per day, each client can often be multiplied again by their clients.

      Simple but effective.

Now when they are reselling to their own clients, how big of a profit do you usually bring in from that?

Well offline clients tend to pay a lot more than online customers. People here at the Warrior forum are extremely savvy when it comes to pricing so I really need to price everything with the slimmest margins here, but offline my prices are more than double, although I sign the client up on reseller pricing which is 20% cheaper than full price so there's still a lot of profit to play with.

Each client they sign up with us, they simply purchase another reseller plan at our reseller rates. They obviously on-sell at their own price and it just means another subscription to me.

I typically sign up around 1-3 clients of theirs when dealing with these kind of businesses, but I currently have a business relationship with a web design company who is outsourcing to 34 of his clients.

Was trolling, had to log in to ask about this, m8.

In Oz, isn't 500 cities the whole country? OK, seriously, though, you're targeting 'online related' businesses (who have clients to resell services to), or more 'service businesses' who are 100% offline service providers?

dadamson and FrankRumbauskas when sending 50 emails a day wouldn't they start going straight to people's spam folders? I would think even sending out 10 of these emails per day would get you ending up in the spam folders.

I say this because although I've never done any big email campaigns, I have emailed a few unsolicited emails here and there to try to get business. One day I started working with a new client and they informed me that my email was showing up in their junk mail. So I had to start a new address from my domain.

So I always wondered how others can pull this off?

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is if people don't mark them as spam, don't delete them, or reply to them. However I am also looking for an accurate answer to this.

I would like to do something similar. But here in the US, the fines for span can be up to $14000 per incident. Is this considered spam becasue its unsolicited or is it ok..becasue its business to business marketing Please advise

      Yea, it is all cities

The companies range from online businesses to service businesses. Lately we have been using this method to partner with offline website development companies.

Some people do get that impression but honestly I started out doing it myself, contacting 5 businesses I found lower down in the search engines and that look interesting to work with.

After I found some success in this method all I did was teach it to someone else and get them to scale it up while I worked on more important aspects of my business.

I never have an issue with emails getting marked as spam. I guess it is because the emails are quite personalized and we are a real business.

We also ensure that we don't contact the same company more than once unless they decide to get in touch with us.

Yeah, everything is a numbers game

It was a method that worked to me so I scaled it up.

There is no link to opt-out but as I said, we don't send to the same company more than once.

I am not sure about the rules and regulations in the US but as I said above it really started with personal emails using the contact details or form provided on the website. Which in my opinion is completely fine

The email addresses are never used again and they are never added to a list or anything like that.

I hope this gives some ideas to people who want to scale up their marketing.

Interesting way to get some prospects thinking about how you increase THEIR bottom line...

Resellers are a nice source of income for me and most of the time these people GET IT so you won't have phone calls on Saturday mornings at 8am from a client who's site dropped a spot in the rankings.

    Dave,

This is the true meaning of power leveraging at its finest. Congratulations on finding success and tweaking it and making your system better.

This thread has certainily given me several ideas on how to approach and ultimately launch reseller partnerships with businesses who do business with the niches I'm targeted.

Do you by chance have a reseller's contract or do you use a standard Independent contract with a NDA contract as well.

    Again, this rocks!

Well here is an idea. Why not just personalize the message even further? You could mention something that you really liked about their website or their offering. Something that makes it feel more personal and thus reducing the risk that someone thinks it is spam.

For a start, you've added one too many 'zeroes' - there's closer to 50 cities in Australia, not 500!

If the idea really works well, I'm surprised you're posting it. I'm a big believer in sharing ideas generously, but it wouldn't take much to start running into other seo companies in Oz! But that's beside the point.

All I can say is...at least one new client a day from only 50 emails is truly, extremely impressive!

I tried a small test today doing this.

I sent out 13 emails and so far I've gotten back 5 replies in 6 hours saying they're truly interested and want to know more, setup a call etc.

I didn't copy this 100% though, I've used a different source to find companies.

Thanks for this, hopefully I'll sign up 3-4 web design companies by the end of the weekend

For those of us living in the U.S afraid of spamming laws or even just getting your IP blocked you could pre qualify it. Hire a cheap telemarketer to offer free reports to businesses. White label the reports from freeseoreport.com and send out the email. You wiill probaly have a higher conversion. As a matter of fact I have been thinking about this throughout the day and will plan on doing this if my mobile website bizz doesn't take off.

      1) Look up leads on Unlimited Sales Leads & Mailing Lists | infofree.com ( 50 a month) I suggest NEW BIZZ leads
      2) Hire telemarketer from odesk or guru to call your list offering free seo reports. Do this once a week costing you about 5 or 6 an hour so that would make it another ( 40 dollars for a day)
      3) Use freeseoreport.com for a white label report of anyone interested and make the report. ( 1 dollar for the first month - i think )
      4) Use a reseller from the warrior for hire or get fancy and use hubshout or some other big industry reseller.

That all costs 91 dollars and I would imagine that would close a bit more of your emails and bring in more clients. You can even make this a weekly thing.
Monday make calls. Take care of bizz reports by the time the bizz owner is in the office Tuesday morning. Talk to bizz owners wed-fri and pick up clients / start projects. Dang this should be a wso report.

To think of this I might do this just to make some consistent guranteed money while I'm building my mobile website bizz. This is a great thread!

I might know someone *cough cough* who wrote some reports to send to business owners, he he.

But yes, it's not against CAN-SPAM to send unsolicited email, and this is a common misconception. However, you need to follow certain rules. Just look up the CAN-SPAM guidelines with a simple Google search and look at the first result you get, it should be a page from the FTC that will tell you what you need to know.

Also, make sure you don't send or scrape emails with any automated tools. That's generally a big no-no.

Yea I'm familar with the can spam act but I don't think it's the actual violation of the law that most of us fear. It's the legal action that can be pursued against us if we flirt with spamming. I'm no lawyer but I know plenty wod take the case against an Internet marketer. In addition to edith earlier post you can find someone on onlinejobs.ph for about 200 a month to tale care of pretty much everythng including calls emails and sending reports.
