TAKING ACTION TOMORROW - Guide A Fellow Warrior?.

I am fairly new to WF, and been astonished on the quality of information found here, I have seen a few IM forums before but nothing to this extent. I am quite young compared to most of the WF members, only 18, but with 6 months of literally 'studying IM' and being the fast learner I am - I believe I will make it. I have written up 3 online projects thats I will be working on in the future. For now, I am going to be taking advantage of my local area (East London) with a business plan that is going to knock-out any competition(im confident of this). I will not be sharing that yet(not until I kill the scene with it), but because I dont have much capital to invest I will start small - and this is what I will be doing.

My last milestone was reading John Durham's - The Great Telemarketer War Report, it was very useful and everyone on WF must read it.

Tomorrow I am setting up my website, printing business cards and finish writing my Informative Report which I will use an incentive.

The day after, Wednesday, I will make 100 cold calls and expecting 2-3 sales.

I am getting my list from manta.com (it's free).

I will be offering a long list of services from SEO to Rep. Management, I will be outsourcing all this work.

I just need to sort out a few more things before I am arranging appointments with local businesses.

I still have not written up a Service Agreement, and are there any other documents I should have with me?

It would be great if I could see some examples of what other Warriors' Service Agreement/Contracts look like, then maybe I can get an idea of how it should be structured.

Also what would a Offline Consulting company name be like? Should it end in Consulting/Media?

Please give me any tips/advice that will help me get my feet on the ground so I can move onto my bigger plans.

I hope to hear.

Good stuff. Contracts are your friends. I don't share my contracts, never have and never will. You can search for a basic contract template but eventually you should have an attorney draw one up for you.

Consulting company can be named whatever you want. Doesn't need to end with consulting or media, mine doesn't at least.

Congrats on wanting to take action tomorrow... however, tomorrow should be today. Don't expect 2-3 sales your first 100 calls, you will set yourself up for failure. Instead, figure out how many calls it takes you in order to get a sale.

I would cut down on the amount of services you offer. You don't have a system in place yet and if you don't know the services up and down it is better to start small.

    Kudos on taking action!

The other most important thing to do is stick to it for as long as it takes you to be successful.

You could google service agreements/contracts. Also make sure you check with legal issues in your state/country or across states/countries as they might differ

Good job on taking action! You're a big step ahead of the most people that are trying to make it offline. I'm really interested in your results, will you post them here?

Regarding the name of your company, you could make it end on Media, Consulting or Marketing. Not necessary tough!

I wish you the best of luck,
    ~Jelle

How is it going? I just did my first calls today. I got about a 10% success rate in offering demo websites. Tommorrow is going to be better.

Please keep us posted with your success.

1M, get your appointments first and sell them. Not many businesses are going to sign a contract with a company just starting out. I did MOST deals with a handshake and payments on a metric scale that at the end of the meeting I would email them. Believe me, if you have to sue them, good luck collecting anyway. Just don't get too deep into time wasted with them so you can cut your loses if something does happen. Take this advice from someone that has worked for about 50 lawyers and owned many businesses.

Couple of tips because I was where you are now, about 6 months ago.

    1) Sell them what they want to be sold. Dont offer them 25 different services, sell them the one they most bring up.
    2) Get some kind of cash within a week of beginning work, otherwise, they are playing you.
    3) Follow John's method because it works. Adjust your pitch slightly as time goes along and you learn the area's economics and quirks. For instance, in my city selling a sign service is difficult because of local ordinances. I didnt know this in the beginning but once i knew it, I used it to sell other services.
    4) You are going to REALLY mess up a few times at first. Keep at it.
    5) Worry the absolute most about what you can do for a client to get them customers, not what services you can sell them. Ask them what has worked for them and reinforce it for them with your services.
    6) Get paid or walk away.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

Thank you for the advice, yes that is very true I am actually going to focus on Mobile Websites, SEO and Rep. Management, but theother packages will just be there if needed.

This was very good advice, every single point made sense to me and I will keep them all in mind. Thank you for your contribution.
