The One-Armed Man Who Started A Custard Empire...Deserves A Hand

Going through my files, I stumbled across this inspiring story about the one-armed man who started a custard empire in the 1950's. Proving once again, that often times the biggest obstacle to success is not our physical limitations...but simply the fertility and perseverance of our own mind.

Hey Rob, very succinctly put and I agree entirely.

It reminds me of the quotation "Persistence" by calvin Coolidge which goes as follows:-

Nothing in the World can take the place of persistence.

Tallent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not. Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not. The world is full of educated derelicts.

Persitence and determination alone are omnipitent.

The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problens of the human race.

Take good care of those that you love.

I did a bit of digging online and found some very interesting information about the one-armed custard man (he was also missing part of his legs, but that hardly slowed him down)!

He had a pretty long and successful life after all! If only all of us could be half as successful.

I'd give him a hand, but it'll cost him an arm and a leg. I'm not cheap!
