Offliners --->>> NOW IS THE TIME <<<---

Anybody who has been in sales for more then 2 years already knows this

However for guys and gals that are new or have been putting things off,

IF you have been wanting to do sales, NOW is the time.

For the next 2 months or so, this is the easiest time for you to make money with b2b.

Typically the run starts around, Jan 14 and lasts to around middle of April.

Doesn't matter how you want to do it. Direct Mail / Phone / Walk ins, Just do it.

NOW IS THE TIME.

You can make enough money over the next few months to set yourself up for the rest of the year.

I do phones, and just had a "personal best" day for myself. so i am ecstatic !

then i realized why, and i figured i would throw out a friendly reminder.

Or as a Tip for those who aren't "in the know"

    Ken - great post Thanks.

For me it runs through June - but the principle's good.

Also a good time to get hired if you prefer the corporate route...

Congrats on your big day. How many calls do you average a day/week?

That's kind of a trick question.

I give myself a quota (money on the board quota , NOT amount of calls quota ), and i DO NOT stop calling until i reach it .

some days when i'm running hot, that's only a few hrs.

other days, well, i have started at 8 am, and was still calling the west coast @ 11 pm.

plus i have a mini dialer, so i can rocket thru NA's an VM's real quick.

The only "average" i can give you that will actually matter, is how many
full pitches i get through in a day.

again depending on my mojo for the day, its around 25-50

I know people who have seen me spend 15 + hours on the phone
in a day think i have some thing special to keep pushing on ....

I don't the truth is, i hate to lose, and if i don't make my quota, i feel like a loser...

Is this a USA thing? Why Jan-April?

In UK financial year starts in April, in Australia it starts in June. Maybe it is different here?

My guess is that companies are setting budgets for the new year and are starting to spend that budget. By the time June comes, a lot of the budget is spent and they become more picky and choosey about where to spend it.

I don't know if its just a USA thing.
I would be interested in finding out if any one knows for sure. Because during this time of year for us its pretty much first come first served, so just about anybody that makes a half way decent pitch gets the money.

If its a different time frame in the uk/au, then it just we need to call and sell their during its "sweet spot " , and our down time

I think that's a pretty good guess. I don't really know the reason myself either. but i do know its not limited to b2b, seems this time of year
people just want to buy everything.

Depends on who you're dealing with. US corps usually have a July-June fiscal year. The trick is in order to get the money approved and allocated you have to make your presence known in Jan-April.

Smaller mom and pops are just like the rest of us and are thinking - "it's a new year, let's conquer the world!"
