Direct mail/letter to Google Places Prospects

Hey guys....I'm thinking about adding the above to my daily prospecting...all I want to do is send a letter to business owners who don't have their Google Places Page verified.

I want to offer my service of claiming/verifying/optimizing their page, but I am not exactly sure what to put in the letter to grab their attention.

My price point will be relatively low as I want to use this as a foot in the door.

Any suggestions on what to put in the letter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Go for it! That's a great method for getting business. I seem to remember a WSO about that recently, it had some good stuff in it.

Yeah, I picked up the idea from a WSO awhile ago, just never implemented it, but now that I have the "time" I want go for it.

      Any suggestions for the letter?

There are 2 types of people in this world....those who get it and those who don't. The ones that get it know exactly what we are talking about. The ones who don't are left scratching their heads.

What are the benefits of having a Google Places Listing?
Why would a business owner care about it?
What will the business owner gain by having it?
What is he missing on by NOT having one?

Traditional advertising ways such as the Yellow Pages and newspaper ads are becoming less effective.

Nowadays virtually all people, including some of your potential clients, search on the Internet for services such as yours.

What that means is that you could be missing 100’s of potential new clients every month while your competitors on the First page of Google are reaping the benefits.

Use fear if you have to.

Use an offer, a deadline, scarcity (for the first 30 business owners that contact me), call to action.

It's great using the GP Listing as loss leader, when they sign up, you can upsell them more products and services.

Gary Wilkinson produced an excellant WSO a few months back , showing a letter(about Google Places) that he sent to prospects - It was well recieved by warriors, as anyone reading it could not fail to respond as the content of the letter could not fail picque their interest . One of the best WSO,s I have ever purchased.
