    1. You can target your customers from numerous ways such as boards and SEO.
    2. If you don't like to call, Hire a person on a commission base that will cold-call for you.

Referrals are the easiest customers to land. Of course, you always need that first customer...

Seriously though, do a good job for somebody and then ask them if they know anybody else who could use your services, and if you can drop their name. When you call those people, mention that your client suggested that you call them. The people you call will give you more credence out of the box if they trust your first client.

Your client will actually sell you to his contacts if he sees a direct boost to his business thanks to your efforts.

I refer to this as luke-warm calling. Way better than cold calling but by no means a sure thing.

Cold calling is your best bet for now unless you have $500+ to invest into a direct response letter to get the calls coming to you.

I've been cold calling 4 hours each day this week to audiologists selling direct mail. After you realize that cold calling is like mining for gold, the only way to get to the gold is to remove the dirt, then you can cold call and enjoy it.

I plan on cold calling for a few more weeks to get enough sales and build up enough capitol to do a direct response campaign which will get the calls coming to me.

Without capitol though, you need to do some things you might not like.

I'm guessing you might not be US based? Is that why you don't want to call? Anyway I would try to partner with someone right here on the forum to do your calls and close the deals for you and you handle the fulfillment.

    Hope that helps.

Someone that has no cold calling experience isn't going to be a great judge of who to hire for cold calling. Another problem is, most of the people willing to work on commission only are garbage or require quite a bit of training or coaching. Sometimes you will have a rockstar after going through a ton.

OR... you can spam out a ton of emails like a lot of people in your position suggest to do.

If you don't want to cold call you have to be able to do some sort of attraction direct response marketing.

Meaning...you have to get some sort of direct response message in front of business owners that causes them to take an action...i.e. give you an email, or a call, or whatever.

If you don't have money to spend you have to trade your time by doing SEO or Social Media Market Leader type of stuff.

Education based marketing will be your best bet where you educate your prospects first so they see you have value and that will cause them to contact you rather than you contacting them.

I would recommend listening to the ILoveMarketing.com podcast. It's free and has some great training in this area. Start from episode 1 and work your way through.

Awesome advice although I would start with the whiskers/cheese episode if you are in a hurry.

Send direct mail and warm call them.

Walk into businesses, explain your services.

Go to networking events, meet-ups (meetup.com)

    Send emails, facebook messages.

Go to elance.com and hire a telemarketer.

Hire a sales person commision based (craiglist.com)

If you are only selling facebook fanpages I think you might have a hard time hiring a sales person. How much do you charge for a fanpage? I have an outsourcer that does an amazing job on these for $40. So it doesn't seem like there is much of a profit margin in there to pay a sales person.

Maybe build a website and try drive traffic to it. Or post your services here on the Warrior Forum and sell your services to fellow warriors.

I don't have much experience in this area but sounds like the direct approach would work best (racso316 makes a lot of sensible suggestions). Perhaps you could make some flyers and place them on cars, boards, and other public spaces in areas where there are plenty of businesses?

The Success of a business is all about the numbers you reach.

The more potential customers you can reach with your Ad , the better your business will actually do.

Huge Classifieds sites have an enormous level of count with major search engines like google, yahoo, msn, ask etc.

I would just go door to door to businesses nearby and ask around. It’s going to be the really small mom and pop businesses that don’t have one up.

Email transactions. Send them valid emails, make sure emails are worth the time reading and not that it would go to their spam box. Then if they will be interested set up a call back of if they want they can call you regarding it.

    Read this.

People pay lots of money for what you're asking for. You are not going to get a whole lead generation and conversion system for free.

You say you're good at making facebook fan pages?

    Then make some.

Attract traffic. After all, that's what you're saying you can do for your clients. If you don't believe in yourself and can't get results for yourself, why should anyone else ask you to do that work for them?

I'd be a pretty lousy sales trainer and copywriter if I didn't make cold calls and sell by myself, and write my own effective copy for my own info products.
