My sites have been hacked..anyone know of best removal service?

Site opens fine when typed in directly, but google search for site and it throws up a virus..any good removal tools or services out there..using wordpress..damn they are all ranked in the top 3 of google....

    just contact your hosting provider and they will fix it i had the same problem few days ago.. do you mean underneath it states something like "dont visit this site it may harm your pc" thats what mean said got hostgator to fix it and submitted review in webmaster tools back up and running in 2days..


    also i think theres plugin called firewall not too sure on the name dont use it but seen other warriors mention it

    I suggest doing a fresh install. Alot of times hackers will open up a backdoor so they can get back in your site. If you can find out what specific hack/virus it is, you should be able to find a solution for removing it on google. do a search for wordpress virus scanner, there are a few of them.

    it is even affected my non wordpress sites on the server...bluehost.com has been zero help...only shows via search engine

    If the site is fine when you type it in, then chances are it isn't an on site malicious script. What happens when you click on other results in the search engines?

    Maybe your own PC is infected.

    I had this happen to my site and two of my clients sites. If they are wordpress sites here I would recommend.

    1. Contact your hosting. They can check everything on their end. Hostgator told me exactly what the problem was and reset my wordpress sites for me.

    2. Go to google Webmaster Tools. Sign up your site, use their malware tools and run that. You'll have to put a file they send you on your server that they use to check your site.

    3. If it comes back clean, you're good to go. If not, follow their suggestions.

    4. If you have wordpress, update to the latest version, backup everything. If you are having problems reaching your admin panel, download your current version of wordpress (wordpress has all the old versions archived on their site) and insert the index.php from the wp admin folder to your wp admin folder. That will allow you to get back into the admin panel. Once your in update everything. Wordpress and all of your plugins.

    5. Change your passwords on everything. FTP. Email. Wordpress. Control Panel. Everything.

    6. Learn as much as you can about securing your website, your ftp, and your server and implement a security protocol.

    I just dealt with all of this in the last two weeks and I'm still dealing with it, it's a pain. Remember an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

    If you are still having trouble, I used Regina Smola at WP Security Lock to clean up a site of mine that was hacked. She ended up having to clean up every Wordpress site I had on my hosting account and gave me tips for how to protect them in the future. She was a pleasure to work with.

    Meanwhile, I hope you're able to sort it out soon.

      +1 on Vincent's comment. Your FTP client most probably is the doorway in for the virus that's grabbed all your FTP passwords. Change them all or you may find the other sites on your account may soon have a similar problem.

    Hi, i would first try to contact my web hosting support to get help me install the backup from past few days or weeks. It's easy but i think after this you might want t use SiteLock that been offered by some web hosting for $12.99 per year (For a domain).
