Help? Youtube Videos De-Ranked and De-Indexed

Hey, warriors, I have a fairly big problem here and I would really appreciate some help.

I uploaded about 50 videos to Dailymotion to rank for some low-competition keywords in a niche I'm trying to dominate right now. They all ranked somewhere on the first page for their keyword, but the thumbnail wasn't there for most of them. Only about 5 had the thumbnail even after a week.

So I took them all down from Dailymotion and uploaded them to Youtube, targeting the same keywords as before. Once again, they all ranked on the first page and this time the thumbnail was there instantly, so I thought I was in the clear.

I just looked at all the keywords, and now only 1 of the 50 videos I uploaded to youtube are on the first page. The other 49 aren't even indexed. The weird thing is, the dailymotion results are still up there, still without the thumbnail, even though I deleted all of them.

How can I get my youtube videos to rank on the first page again? Do I have to reupload them, but change them slightly? Maybe target different keywords now? I'm thinking the previous dailymotion results might be triggering some duplicate content penalty even though they were taken down.

I read something once about there being a duplicate content penalty if two videos have the same audio track, which all my videos do because I made them on Animoto and used the same song for all of them, so not sure if that's the problem.

I really need to fix this problem before I can move forward. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can throw my way.

I've read somewhere that you can change the pitch slightly on an audio track and it will be considered unique. As far as being deindexed I could only imagine it being the duplicate content. How long have these videos been up?

The Dailymotion ones have been up since the 18th of Feb, but the YouTube ones have only been up about 5 days. They started out all rankings, then slowly were de-indexed as the days went on.

Is this similar to what happens with duplicate content on websites/articles? Indexed and then de-indexed once the original is found?

I have ranked numerous videos for "niche + city" niche + city" , etc.

Anyways, from what I have noticed is my videos will rank almost immediately in some cases , or the top of page 2. Then I will start off page SEO and sending in my links, then they "vanish" and come back strong.

Just like with any website, the videos dance.

I can't speak to the audio though -

Its possible, thats the thing about SEO on goolge....alot of times you really dont know whats going on cause no one knows the algorithm....but its a safe bet that the duplicate audio is an issue. I know of people who use the same video over and over with different audio tracks to rank. Try changing the audio and reuploading again.

I see it's been a while since anyone's commented on this. But I'll share a recent experience.

My videos are doing well, but I bought a local EMD for my website and also pumped out around 20 YT videos. The first 3 days, my EMD was ranking on 1st page of big G. Now (2 days later).....vanished...and I mean vanished completely! If I type in cache:mywebsitename.com or even mywebsitename.com ----> it's toast.

BUT, what I do see is alot of site similiar to woorank and "whois" domain websites that shows the full URL name, but alas, no website. This leads me to believe that this domain may have had some bad backlinks in the past. I'll admit, I never even checked the domain age, so I guess there's a good chance I could of bought a spammed domain.

I guess it always could be the Google dance too, but still seems pretty weird. I've never had a site completely vanish like that.

Anyone else have any fun with this lately?
