Help: HOW TO SETUP FACEBOOK FAN PAGES WITH THE NEW TIMELINE??

OK ,

I am trying to make a facebook page, and I have never used this timeline thing. I finally got the profile image and the cover photo up to the right pixels, but i cannot figure out how to get the tabs under the cover photo to work, people say you can customize them with your own image, i cant even make more than 2 of them show up ...... does anyone know a good tutorial on this.

    also when i try to edit the about page, it takes me to a different page, with a box that says the name of my page, and next to it a drop down tab that says about, but there is no option to change or add anything , this is crazy

    i was not known about setting a facebk fan page with new time line .bt after reading the THeCG reply i am able to create the same .

    What I want to know is how the heck we are supposed to sell the value of Facebook Fan Page design services now to small businesses? Facebook ripped most of the value right out from under us, and it seems that most businesses won't see the value in paying for an "App" to be designed when people will still have to click on it to see it (I for-see these clicks being extremely low now... not having a default landing tab is really, really going to hurt things now).

    I'm really a bit angry at Facebook... designing Facebook Fan Pages is one of my main lifebloods, and at this point, I'm at a bit of a loss in how to sell the value of a third-party like myself charging a biz to custom-design something.

      Unfortunately, this is what happens when we let a large part of our livelihoods depend on the whims of another.

      Facebook has no loyalties to anyone that uses their FREE service to make money and I suspect they haven't cared much for it. I am sure they want any profits made through their efforts to come to them instead of anyone else. If the change alone doesn't make that clear their new TOS surrounding how you may use that big new piece of real estate on top of the Timeline should.

      NO Call to Action
      NO Coupons
      NO Ask for Likes
      etc...etc...

      The monster is finally being "decloaked"....Facebook is...*GASP* an actual business and they want to be the ones making the money!

      You're absolutely correct - Facebook keeps marketing channels closed for anyone who doesn't do it their way. They aggressively support apps made for the open graph by giving those pre-approved apps full distribution through all Facebook channels, not just your own social network of friends.

      Most of what users do on Facebook [82%] won't get any attention unless they're doing it with object and actions that tell user stories on the Open Graph DEEP DIVE. That app has two Videos for developers and the Official Interactive Tutorial for Pages and Timeline - directly from Facebook.

      The latest version of the extended open graph wasn't nearly as powerful when those 2 videos came out last April. Nobody is talking about the latest generation of social apps for the Open Graph Deep Dive because Marketers don't promote anything they can't control with 6 mouse clicks and quick profits.

      You will be amazed at what you can do - but you can't do it alone - nobody can. There's a Facebook Likes Group already started but nobody is talking about anything yet. Join that group and trade your ideas for apps that cost nothing but maybe hosting after awhile.

    Looks like the only downside to this new timeline system is no more landing pages. However, you can still have custom tabs/apps where you can place your "call to action" and coupon stuff.

    It's pretty simple. There's a concrete tutorial on how to use timeline. However, I would like to know if it's possible to revert it to the old format- at least just for pages
