Getting clients face to face just do it!

Hi guys,

i just wanted to make a thread about how good (for me at least) and easy it is to get offline clients when do face to face.

Now i understand this is not easy for some, but the money to be made is huge so i whould even goes as far as to say if you realy really can't do it yourself then hire someone! even if on a part time base to start.

i have even sat and ordered a coffee and talked to the owner of the shop and landed contracts, most people i speak to when offered page 1 ranking in google for video or whatever the product is jump the chance to come on board!.

to sum up it really is worth getting out there and speaking with bussiness owners face to face the sales % is huge.

thanks.

    LOL... 0 replies, 1 view...

If you want more comments, better change the thread title to, Getting (insert number) clients in (insert days) by not calling and not having to leave your computer.

Anyway, yeah you're right.. People just aren't going to do it because they don't want it enough.

I think many people get into internet marketing because they are introverts and prefer to be behind their computers. Of course, now we know that we have to be far more social than ever!

The face-to-face part of selling is scary for many people, let alone introverts. But you're right, it can pay off in spades once you get comfortable with it. It's far easier to read someone's body language and build trust in a face-to-face conversation. While online businesses are used to building that kind of relationship through online interactions, offline businesses still prefer the more 'visual' approach.

It's definitely worth getting out of your comfort zone and spending the time to meet face-to-face with prospects.

Face-to-Face can be magic. If the client senses that you are really
there to help him, the closing percentages skyrocket. Keep it our secret.

What he said + you have to be confident. If you can show that you are an expert and not even blink any type the client asks you questions.

yes, i mean i really do understand it is really hard for some people, but the rewards are great. Also i think once you get out there and "have a go" the fear soon goes.

Wow. People are afraid of face-to-face AND selling over the phone?

    What's left?

Faceless, voiceless, soulless communication with clicks? Have we become telegraph machines, people?

This is supposed to be the OFFLINE forum. I cannot believe how many chicken-*** people there are out there. If you're like this, how do you get through the day? How do you stand shopping for groceries? Going to the library? Do you ever meet anybody new?

I'm starting to get really freaked out about what this is saying about our society.

If you say you're an "expert"--expert enough to be in business for yourself--and you lack the confidence to talk to people about it...heck, I'll say it straight out, instead of asking the question:
YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN THAT BUSINESS. YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

    Forget about your silly dreams of a push-button, no-work, no-talking, no-meeting, cash waterfall-inducing, free-to-set up right-out-of-the-box business. It doesn't happen that way.

I'm saying this so that maybe, just maybe, someone will have their own epiphany.

As far as the rest of you who are like this...it's no matter...you won't have a business very long anyway. And that's sad for me, because I like to see people do well.

I've been preaching going face to face for months on this forum. At least finely some one has figured it out.

The rest of you better figure it out because this year you just might be competing against me in your lovely little cities across the United States.

I'm ready to go face to face, if for nothing else to get out of the goddamn house more.

But I wouldn't beat up people who don't want to drive out to appointments and communicate face to face. It might be fear, it might be something else like not believing it should be necessary in this day and age to drive all the way out there when you can deliver all the information that an intelligent person should need to make a decision over the web and phone, with all the convenience therein.

But with claims that your sales %'s will increase, now I believe there's a significant enough reason to justify the extra effort.

A lot of times if you have samples in hand of what you are offering to business owners it takes the pressure and focus off of yourself and onto the product.

Holy Camoly! I was NOT going to respond to this BUT....I feel FORCED to correct some "thinking" here on the WF.

Granted....MOST of the members here are NOT..."Sales" types! In fact, MOST are basic INtroverts who'd rather eat Chocolate Covered Ants than consider doing "Face-To-Face" sales.

      So....here's MY Conceptualysis;

"Nothing MOVES until something is SOLD!"

So....HOW will..... "little ol' you, sitting behind your pc screen...with a KeyBoard in front of you and a "WANT" to "make some friggin money"....DO IT?

You HATE...even the thought of "Face-To-Face"....even the thought of it causes Bubbles to blow up from your tummy and up thru your mouth in the form of a "BURP"!

And, just thinking about "MEETING" another human being and trying to "Sell" them on....GIVING YOU....little ol' YOU.....MONEY! YOU KIDDING ME? "You'd rather think about "strangling your Mother-In-Law"...before THAT Scenario would ever happen!

So....hold on....no need to gulp down a couple of Prilosecs....I think I have the answer.

Instead of "trying" to convince those who can PAY you for what you tell them you CAN DO!....why not ask them (those who can PAY you) to just, "Take A Look at what I'VE ALREADY DONE....for YOU!"

Note: Notice the 2 Key words here? "ALREADY DONE"!

These 2 words have helped many of my "students"....to go from "Giving Up Selling Stuff...because it involves (Yuck)...."Face-To-Face" meetings with "Other Humans"!....to "Remote" Selling

      So....here's the "windup";

Let's say you'd like to sell Websites...or SMS...or Mobile Sites...or whatever.... to "Humans who can PAY little ol' YOU.

Phone Calls are out (during business hours, because that would involve "Human Contact") \

So, you have to either email or mail....or Phone prospects AFTER hours so you're guaranteed NOT speaking to any "Humans".

So....let's say you'd like to sell "Websites to Small Business Owners"

      1) Create an "Anonymous" website....with Anonymous stuff
      2) Contact prospects who "should" be interested in what you've created. Tell them 2 things;
      a) I've ALREADY created this for you
      b) You can HAVE IT...for X$
      c) I have also contacted 5 of your competitors....1st one who wants it, gets it (appealing to "Greed Glands)

Thus....my Point here is....Instead of telling prospects what you CAN do for them....tell them what you've ALREADY DONE for them...and if they want it...now's their chance to get it....BEFORE their competition does.

I call it..."GGA"! "GREED GLAND AROUSAL!"

      Don Alm...."Greed Gland Arouser"

Face to face is the best when it's strategic partners, people funding your business, key clients and service providers, in my opinion.

Meeting with people who respond to your ad and have been prequalified and set an appointment, they're great.

Cold contacting/dropping in, door knocking, outbound calls, sitting in front of the wrong person trying to sell them sucks. I would hire someone to do those things when the time comes and just start with direct mail to get calls for appointments coming in, as has been described in posts here.

Agreed, the pressure that comes from actually having to sell on a cold-call sucks. I much prefer being able to pre-qualify and make positive contact before actually having to meet them in person, so that I'm able to go to them, with them knowing I'm there to provide value, and not make a quick buck coming off the street into their shopfront.

Ok, I see a lot of people dont want to get on the phone...or meet face to face...

They can't afford to do direct mail...

Mostly because they havent gotten on the phone or met anyone face to face

Obviously if you dont speak to the business owner you won't ever actually ever get to ASK for the Sale.

    So here is an alternative.

I should put it in a WSO...and sell a million copies...

But I'm not that kind of guy...

    So here it is...

I learned this from my Uncles Tony, Sal, and Eddie

For those of you dont know me...I'm originally from the East Coast and I am Italian...

    So here is the Secret...

Hire a Seven Foot Tall 320 lb Guy named Bruno....and send him to collect money from Business Owners.

It's a time honored practice that actually works...

And No...I wasnt kidding...I am actually Italian and have 3 Uncles name Sal, Tony, and Eddie! lol
