100 cold-call challenge, I'm putting myself in the game.(Critique My Script Please)

So, I just spent the weekend (and parts of today) researching and made a list of 103 leads in my area who might need an upgraded website, social media, or SMS marketing.

Starting at 9am tomorrow I'm doing the 100 cold call challenge, even though I wont get through it all tomorrow I'm going to try and get it done by Thursday.

Since I have had sales in the past this is what I'll be using as a script, please critique it if it sounds bad.

"Hi, my name is Geoffrey Williams and I'm a Social Marketer. Recently I've helped business just like yours bring in 20-30% more revenue using a proven method. I'm calling today set up an appointment on Tuesday to show you this method -- It will take 5 minutes of your time."

What do you think? To word-y?

Not the worst script I've seen. Don't like the 5 minutes part. Make it take longer. It's like me offering coaching at $20/hr...nobody would think it was valuable.

Don't say how long it will take. Make them ask. Then have them schedule 20 minutes.

The good thing about your script is that it is quick and to the point. But what are you going to do if they ask, "HOW do you do that 20-30% revenue bump?"

Good point. So, drop the 5 minutes line. I actually have testimonials from work I've done before with one business I helped get a 33% revenue boost at the end of 4 months of work. I can reference that if he asks or would that seem like bragging?

      maybe something like

"Hi, my name is Geoffrey Williams and I'm a local social marketer. Recently i've helped business just like yours bring in more revenueby expanding online. I'm calling today to set up an appointment to meet with you, is Tuesday around 1pm fine?" (should I be specific with the time? 2pm or should I say "sometime around" to be more flexible)

Thanks for the help, this will be the most cold calls I've ever made

That pitch isnt too bad, but like others have said....the "Take 5 minutes part" should get nixed.

Harvard Business School has an elevator Pitch Tool that might help you out: Here is the Link: rules

Integrating the outcome of the tool into your pitch will help spark some interest on the part of your Potential clients.

As for getting the actual appointment....try "I have slots open at X and Y tomorrow, which works better for you?". If neither works for them they will let you know and may well suggest a more convenient time that fits within their schedule. And yeah...I posted the same thing on the other thread that you mentioned! lol
