Hi Everyone:

I know that selling services to offline businesses can be challenging because of the nature of these businesses. In a perfect world I know the best way to sell them is ground pounding face to face.

But, when getting out there is not possible, can anyone share 'non WSO hyped' ways that you sell this market virtually?

We've tried mobile site 'mock-ups', 'free' PLR videos, 'free' consultation appointments, etc. We've had a little bit of success, but, obviously not enough or I wouldn't be asking.

I understand the necessity to sell the 'benefits' of a particular service and the 'WIFM' (what's in it for me) proposition of how they'll get a good ROI. That's not my problem.

Just looking for creative ways to sell these offline business services, but from a virtual position (phone, email, etc).

If there's another discussion somewhere on this, let me know.Appreciate the interaction.

Dave

PS: By the way, we've bought many a WSO on this topic so I'm well versed in all the contact methods, etc. Again, many are well over hyped (like I'm telling you anything) Anyway, just looking for creative, effective ideas.

    Thx,

    Hey Dave,

I have multiple offline clients (SEO + GP), and not one of them live within 2 states of me.

I direct mail, and close on the phone.

I got started with "Offline Smackdown" by Lee and AJ, they are actually releasing the "part 2" of offline smackdown today (should be today) they are calling it "V2".

These guys make their living (well AJ does) not closing people in their own local area, and I have modeled my self after that.

I have been in their skype chat group / membership site for a while now, and have learned a tremendous amount from them.

My skype information is on here, so if you are interested just add me on skype. I am not trying to sell you anything, nor am I going to send you affiliate links, have not ulterior motive other than wanting to help (it seems I have to give that clause, early on when I asked for help people solicited me to contact them, and ended up just trying to make a few bucks on me, so sad).

Selling virtually is hard but if you have patience and willingness and a clean heart, you will succeed.
Send email, and let them give you the go signal when to call them. Just communicate,

You'll need to have a system that gathers leads, qualifies prospects, and converts them into customers.

    Read this.

So if you are going to sell virtually, then you need to design a campaign with these three segments. You may use the same or different methods (ie. all stages by email; or maybe a lead capture video, moving along to a series of qualifying autoresponder emails, concluded by a squeeze page to convert.)

This is going to take longer and be much more expensive than calling; just be aware of that.

Now, if you mean you want to make calls, qualify prospects and then set appointments to demonstrate your solution...

...screensharing and talking by phone are the way to go.

Sending your demo site link blindly by email--here it is, let me know what you think when you can--is pretty darn stupid in my opinion. You may NEVER hear what they really thought about it.

This is like walking up to a 15-foot high concrete wall...throwing your hat over it...and wondering what happened to the hat on the other side.

Did they get it? What did they think? Did the squirrels take it away?

Don't share your technical expertise with anyone unless you are on the line to hear exactly what their live reactions are.

    Then you can make changes.

"Oh, the background is black. Hmm. We don't like black. We'd rather it be red."

This is something you may NEVER hear if you just fire the link over blindly.

Because they think it's a huge change (and we know it's a one-line coding change--but they have no technical expertise).

Because they think what you sent them is "cast in stone."

Because they don't want to hurt your feelings by telling you it isn't perfect in their eyes.

Because there's no urgency at all for them to share their opinion.

you may wanna consider these first:

    Research

Do your research and see what other similar items are selling for. Check the "completed listings" to see what the actual sales prices are, this is alot more accurate than reviewing current listings for prices. Check how other sellers list their items and other details. Imagine you are a buyer, which item would you buy and from which seller?

    Title Is Everything

When someone searches for an item, eBay uses the words in the title to generate results. So every word counts, you want to match what others are searching for, as closely as possible.

    Description

Describe the item carefully and in detail. Photos are great, large, closeup images are the best.

    Reputation

Maintaining a high feedback score is essential, (if let's say ur selling on ebay, and other ads sites with feedback) both the overall score and the individual ratings buyers can now give. This includes communication, shipping time and other individual ratings.
