Need some advice for one of my clients...

I have a client that I design classified ads for.

He met with a guy that promises page 1 of google results. He is using Google Places and Adwords.

I attached the package my client emailed to me to look over.

My client thinks it is too expensive and does not understand what he is getting if he was to do this.

He wants to know what I think about it and how it compares to what I can do for him.

Man...I really wish I knew some Dan Kennedy stuff. I think I could grow his business to extremely high levels with his knowledge. My client is a personal fitness trainer. I am just now getting started with Dan's material.

Your thoughts on this are much appreciated.

    Google Places & Adwords?

    There is no mention of SEO in that Quote and the above arent SEO, although they can contribute to it.

    Anyone can be on the first page of Google with Adwords!

    It doesnt specify WHAT keywords.

    I think your client needs to get some clarification on EXACTLY what this person/company plans to ACTUALLY do for him!

    That's what my initial response was as well. I asked what keywords they will rank him for, and what kind of searches those keywords are getting.

      The impression I get from that Quote are:

      • They intend to submit him to junk sites using Free submission software
      • They intend to submit him to Google Places & Yahoo Maps
      • They intend to bid on uncommon rarely if ever searched keywords at minimum bid
      • They intend to take his money and laugh their way to the Bank while doing virtually nothing for him that he couldnt do himself.
      They also made no mention of any sort of monthly Adwords Expenditure.

      Obviously $195 wouldnt go very far on any worthy keywords

    Well, he just emailed me back and they told him any keyword, so that is obviously the adwords part.

    It just sounds to me that they are targeting their adwords campaign to the city level (makes sense). Just not sure how they would handle the choosing of keywords. Kinda sounds like it would be up to the client, but that doesn't make total sense to me.

    Maps optimization must just be for his service in his area.

    How much would you charge for this service that is on the attachment? I just need to know if it is a good deal for him or if I can outsource and offer him a better deal.

    They are using adwords to target his local area for any keyword they want.

      Well, first of all We are a Google Engage Agency.

      I wouldnt even insult my Clients, current or Potential with an Offer like that. It would just erode our credibility. I also would NEVER submit a proposal like that.

      It has no value!

      In fact, our PPC Clients get submitted to Google Places and Yahoo Maps for free when we take them on as a PPC client AND we give them $100 Voucher for Google Adwords.

      You should wait for him to tell you what he wants accomplished. Tell him you will call him back when you will have your own proposal and get back to him a few days later.

    Yea, it is yeptext, but I am not sure if I am going to use them for my sms campaigns. I am thinking either Lime or Avid.

    I plan on starting my sms client getting in a week or so if you have any suggestions on providers.

    Also, how would you respond to a good client that this proposal is no good. I don't want to sound like I am slamming this other company. Afraid it will make me look bad and that I am only out after his business. I just want to come across as a friend and make sure he is not wasting his money.

    Those are pretty basic services. Why not, with the exception of PPC, offer those services yourself, and do it yourself or even outsource it.
