Is anyone here a reseller of Yext?

What wholesale price do they give you when selling to a client?

I have no idea, but what they offer is something that you can easily offer and make more while outsourcing.

Well I think my answer is only a 5% discount which is nothing. So you are definitely correct about outsourcing.

And, why to the big directories cooperate? Wouldn't they have to lower their prices to cooperate?

I guess for them it's about more volume...is that it from their perspective?

Seems like this would lessen their importance somehow since the directories would want to deal directly with each advertiser and make mo money.

I believe it's $1000 per year... but they have a special as well
    Making it $42/month --> https://www.yext.com/pl/getListed-two/complete.html

I would rather do it myself and get paid more

But isn't that the old notion of trading time for money?

Is it not better to outsource the far to tedious task of citation building (whether to yext, or a VA, or any other business listing service) so that you can focus on getting in more clients?

I thought I would like building citations on my own. But yesterday i realize I was so far off, lol.

I dont know if yext is worth the price though. It doesnt seem to include many directories. There are better services.

Can someone explain how Yext works?

It was recommended for me to manage a clients citations. But my understanding is that once I list the citation it just sits there. Does Yext enter the citations for you. And, what are they charging a monthly fee for?

Hey guys, just talked to a yext rep so I'll give a little insight.

If you call in to set this up, they can give it to you for $449/year ($499 is the web price and they give a 10% discount if you do it through a rep). You can sell the service to clients for whatever you want.

You get to enter all of the business information once, and they send it out to all of the sites. You get premium listings on some (or all?) of the sites, meaning you can put in a lot more information than the free listings. I don't know what it would cost to do those premium listings on each site independently, but I imagine it might even be more expensive.

You can update information whenever you want on your dashboard and it will be changed on all the sites. They add directories periodically, and the business info gets sent out to those new directories without you doing anything.

You also get analytics so you can see all activity on all sites. Seems pretty good...

Their number is 1-888-921-8247 if you want the discount.

Oh and the reseller program she said is for high volume (like 100+ clients). They charge you $479 or so per client and limit the price you can sell it at.
If you have a few clients they can set them all up under the same dashboard or set up separate ones, depending on what you want.

What they can do can be replicated within 1-2 hours. Why pay $479 for something that can literally only cost you a couple bucks?

While you can definitively fill out the free listings on those directories, you would be missing out on adding photos, detailed summaries and special offers on other directories without paying a monthly fee.

I'd imagine the more info you add to your listing, the more it would help in terms of local SEO.

However once you stop paying yext for the service (I think it's $500 per year) then all the listings revert back back to their original status.

      Hi there,

I think $500 is too much and if you don't pay the next year , guess what? Your $500 are GONE
For outsourcing you have really to dig into it to find the right provider.
If you are looking for someone to do that for you shoot me an email or Skype me : venezalgerie

      Has anyone tried Bright Local?
They hand submit directory listings including photos for $3 per listing.
You set up a details page once with all of your clients info and pictures and click on the directories you want listed. They will then do all of the work and send you an update.
They allow you to set up clients and track their current citations as well as their competitors. You can also get monthly reports to show how many citations you have and their citation value.
They have a service called Citation Burst that will do all of the hand submitting for you with interactive reports on their status.
Theie Google+ Wizard will give you a very easy to read report that you can share with your clients to show them where they are showing up in the maps and how many citations they have, reviews, photos if they claimed their Google + page. This makes it very easy to show clients what needs to be done to get them on the map or move them to the top. It would be very east to sell a client they need to increase their citations to 75+ to beat their competitors. Bright Local charges $3 each you can charge easily $300 for a package of 25 high ranking citations with photos and full descriptions. You can have them set up with a email to their reports to show your progress.

Lol, that's not that great of a break. You can hire a VA with tons of experience for less than half of that.

The impression I had from yext is they give you premium listings. Does that mean that your directory listing would show up above your competitors say under sponsored listings?

I know yp charges 500-600/month for their premium directly listings.

Just trying to see which is a better investment yext vs bright local vs yp

    Thoughts/opinions?

No, they don't give you premium listings. If you want a premium listing, you still need to directly contact that particular directory.

Advantages I can think of with yext are the following:
      • Make a one-time change from your Yext dashboard and all directories will update
      • When doing free manual submissions, some sites use that to telemarket to you to try to sell you a premium listing (yp.com always calls me, for example). With Yext, you don't seem to get those calls anymore
      • Email notifications anytime a customer leaves a comment about your business on one of your listings
      • Analytic reports, showing how many users have viewed your listings, commented , etc
      • Integration with facebook, google+, & wordpress to make posts from directly within your Yext dashboard (although personally, I don't use this feature)

      Disadvantages:
      • Once you stop paying for the Yext service, any updates you've added or made to your listings is reverted
      • Customer service is ok at best. Could be a little better
