I need learn about the world of Google places...where should I start? Best resources?

Google Places is a goldmine. So few offliners do it, and even fewer do it well. Because of the 'headache' I avoided it for most of my offline career, but it's just too important to ignore.

I just received an email from one of my CPA clients who says his phone is ringing several times a day and he gets email inquiries most days now. His main website was on page 1 for a while, but I stepped in and got his Google Places listing in the A-slot with bright yellow stars grabbing everyone's attention. NOW he gets calls lol Nuff said.
