What are you reading?

Just thought I'd start a post to share what we are currently reading.

My library is pretty intense but right now, I took an old book off my shelf and I'm reading it for a second time wit a different perspective -

The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen.

Books are definitely an addiction...I feel a need to read it all

It's not too bad if you're into lean concepts. The whole premise is not to spend/waste money on all the extras that go into startups, but just developing something bare bones. The value is in the function, not the form.

I've read it too.. the book (and the author), are quite popular among silicon valley/tech startups, they really adopted the whole philosophy of testing/iteration, making sure the product they build has a product/market fit (aka give the market what it wants, not what you think they want or make assumptions about what they want), among other principles. They kinda got it down to a system of building and scaling startups now.

But you can adopt all the principles and philosophies for every business, (and certainly IM) not just tech businesses.

If you love video's, just do a search on youtube for Eric Ries, you can find a lot of content/interviews where he talks about the content in the book.

I just finished post reading post #12 on an offline forum topic about reading. I had previously gone through the first ten posts as well.

    Kidding.

I've got about six or seven I'm reading now (focus problems). But as it relates to this section? The book "How Capitalism Will Save Us: Why Free People..." http://www.amazon.com/How- (Non-affiliate link).

Reminds me about the value of, well creating value for others.

For a great read and a lot of laughs (the guy is witty) I'm slowly going through Mark Steyn's new one: Amazon.com: After America: Get Ready for...Amazon.com: After America: Get Ready for... which kind of deadens the hope I have from the first one. (But it's good.)
