Successful Methodologies in Getting Offline Business

There are so many ways to get Offline business, and everyone is telling you that their method(s) works best. To get to a better idea of what really works, I am very interested to know the percentage of techniques that individuals use to successfully get Offline business.

If you would be kind enough to let me know from the methods I have listed below what percentages you use to get business. I will let those who participate know the results so they can understand what truly are the best methods. Obviously if there is more than one method you use to successfully get business, please split your percentages.

Also after you complete the percentages, would you please tell me what you know you should do more of and also do less than to get business. If I have missed any methods, please feel free to add them.

    Barbara,

I use telephone cold calling 100%. Referrals was not on your list but that follows the cold calls. Since we only started selling our services last month, cold calling is our only source.

Signed 4 clients off the telephone. Now we are teaching them how to refer us. You read that correctly. You have to teach your clients how to refer you.

Once the referrals kick in, cold calling will be a thing of the past unless we feel like keeping it alive. Just our experience. Don't know about anyone else but cold calling works for us.

If you need someone to cold call businesses in your area, pm me and we'll discuss price. I love the phone. It is a magic instrument that only has money pouring out of it.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Barbara,

I'm into Mobile Marketing but still coach people on how to do "Offline Marketing."

In my honest opinion, the much needed tool that one need is the "right" confidence in talking, presenting ideas to people when gathering information but the most popular way that marketers are using nowadays is getting their prospective clients through their "Current/Active" Internet presence.

Being visible in social media through post, blog and video sharing catches and prompting readers to "opt in" and give their personal details. The fastest way to get information and access to send them invites and freebies.

Hope that helps..please share the data that you gather so that we can use it also in the future...

    Cheers!

    Mary

    emails: 5%
    Cold calling: 30%

    you didn't mention:
    Referrals: 30%
    Craigslist: 30%
    Linked In: 5%

I liked to do more cold calling, but really like the referral business. These are not referrals from other businesses we work with, but through cold calls that referred and friends of friends and friends.

    emailing 25%
    Cold Calling 25%
    Referrals 25%

roughly speaking that's what I'm getting.

I really enjoy the tough skin you start to develop from all the cold calling

    Hi Barbara

Last year I was almost exclusively marketing off-line (90%) and was making very little headway. Quite frankly, I found it time consuming and a drag, particularly the cold-calling and follow-up phone calls. Now I work smarter and market online and as a result I'm now beginning to find success. Instead of me constantly chasing people, they now chase me which is much more satisfying!

The only online marketing I now do is networking and I do that just for the occasional human contact!
