Need Help with a Client Question- Google Custon Search

Today I met with a client who needs to embed the custom search code Google provided him with (for $200) onto his website, which he built himself with Intuit. Though, he want's customers to be able to enter their zip code and get the nearest location to them; such as the one on this site.

I wasn't quite sure how to do that as I've only worked with Adsense search code but told him I'd look into it. He'll give me $150 if it can be done on Monday. This, ironically is nearly the exact amount I'm sort on my rent for the end of the month and I can't afford to loose this client.

Is there anyone familiar with Google Custom search, I haven't worked with it yet but am sure it's easier than I think-hopefully.

Any and all help is much appreciated.

I can't help you, but I have a suggestion, that will more then likely get you the answer that you need. Go to youtube, and do a search for what you want to do. I would think that you will find that someone has done a help video on it. Other then that go to google and see what they have for tutorials on it. They will have something.

    I hope this Helps.

From memory thats a paid service bro. I think its like 11K a year from last time I checked with google.

Also I wouldnt recommend doing it his way, that site he used as an example is not good at all. I tried half a dozen postcodes and none of them worked. All they do is give the user their email.

Why dont you offer to hook him up with adsense that way he can grow a list, get his leads and still be able to service his customer and the plus side for you is that aweber is point and click in the way of uploading.

      11K per year?!

The only zip codes that will work are one's around the NYC area, anything outside of that gives you their email and a message saying they'll be in the area very "soon."

I mentioned the idea of Aweber to him so he can email a list of his clients but he already knows how to do that himself...
