Looking for tips to build my list

I'm trying to build a list that consists of North Dakota oil rush opportunity seekers. I am going to be meeting a massive need for oil workers (and everyone else in the area) that's being driven by the oil boom. I need to build a list of 500+ people to present to my investors as part of my business plan.

Any suggestions on how I can get my list in front of my audience? I've been advertising on ND Craigslist (not really that active), posted to a couple oil worker message boards, and have taken out a banner on one oil-related site. Any other thoughts?

I know if there's anything you guys know how to do, it's build a list!

    It´s hard to say what will work best for you.
    may be you can contact a press agency.
    Or you can write press articles by yourself...

    Similar to my answer to your TMF post...

    Without understanding your offer and your target prospect, it's difficult to recommend anything. Who is your investor? What do they do, what are they going to get out of this investment, and where do they hang out? You must go where your audience is.

    there are alot of craigslist scripts that enable you to post to craigslist around the country instead of just one...google it and post everywhere you'll get way more then 500

    You can try purchasing another list from list providers to add up to your current number of oil companies in North Dakota.
