Info Request Check List For Website Clients

Hi

Does anyone have a check list that they send to clients that asks for the relevant information in order to build their website.

For example

1 - Logo
2 - Business statement
3 - services

etc.

I have my first client lined up and need a form or something similar that i can give them requesting all the relevant info so i can start building the site.

Any help is gratefully received

Z

Your knowledge of what they need should be better than the clients. Come up with the things you suggest based on their business and the elements that should be included on their site.

If you have suggested features ie. Slider, ask them for relevant images that you need.

Many times clients rely of the designer to suggest the design and layout based on whats working nowadays.

I'm in agreement with the post above.

The client is looking to you to provide what they need,
I would suggest features relevant to their business, and
      build from there.

Businesses all have some basic needs that are the same,
on the same end - different businesses are also going to
require different things. I.E. Hair Salon vs. Restaurants vs.
Lawyers etc... You get the idea

I found a 4 page website planner that I found on the internet somewhere and I give that to some clients that don't really know what they want - it helps them clarify what they want in a site. I'm sure there are a bunch - just search for them.

Photos, brochures, marketing materials would be good info to have. Testimonials would come in handy also.

    Hope that helps
