Looking for a good CRM

I'm looking for something that works well and is simple to use. I want to be able to input tasks in it and have it remind me when to call people, etc..

I have used Zoho, but don't really like it.

Don't really like highrise because it's lacking in a lot of features. Sugarcrm isn't too bad.

Sugar CRM is a great one..there are also a lot of inexpensive developers out there that can do some programming work on it to tweak it for your specs..works great with a dialer as well.

I use base crm for android. Its real simple to use and I can dial their number or send an email from my phone by taping their name. It makes follow up a breeze.

Really? It's free until you make 150 sales. I like free when it works as good as this.

It's free up to 50 deals. Then the next plan is $30 for up to 1000 deals. I'm pretty sure the deals that you don't get are also counted toward your deal limit. I think that's annoying.

edit: i you have to refer people to actually get 150 deals free...

I forgot about having to refer people. I had a bunch of friends that are in sales use my link. Sorry about that. Even still $30 for 1000 deals is pretty cheap. I know that it would take a long time for me to use all of those up. Maybe if I was giving away some pretty cheap items or service I would fill it up quicker. It's definetly a lot less than many of the other services out there. One business that I worked for was paying $12000 a month for 24 sales people and a sales manager.

Well, how much would you be ready to fork off, if the tool would do exactly what you needed it for?

If you are looking for something simple to work with I recommend you Zimplu CRM. It is also free for 4 users, if you need more you only pay starting from the 5th user.

Salesforce is the professional way to go but it is not cheap. There are many apps for the iPhone, iPad or Android that work very well. I use Opus Domini for my iPhone and it does what I need. It syncs with the iPhone calender and has reminders and you can use sounds, beeps or what ever.

I think the key to using any system like this is "the user" and not so much the app or software as long as it offers what you need. You must make a routine of what you do every time you have something you need to be reminded of. This routine is the most important thing. There are many systems that sync with Outlook, Project management systems or even Email. Just find what you want based on your needs (you should make a list of your needs before you start looking for apps or software so you don`t get lost in funtions) and stick to it. Do the routine and always input the info immediately upon realizing you need to set an appointment, meeting or just reminder for call someone, or else you will forget it 5 minute later.

    Hope this helps.

  • I also use Base CRM on my iphone and it reminds me when to call clients and works well. I sync it with my gmail and I can also get email notifications on when to follow up. I like it also because I can see my "deals" and how much money is coming my way. Good features, tried other ones and were harder to use.

Selecting and implementing a CRM must be viewed as a very critical business decision. Why? The cost of moving to a 2nd choice is incredibly expensive! In this process, the cost of the service is the least expensive. Identifying the issues with legacy products and the add on fees cause me to go ballistic often.

What I did in my selection process. (hint: I hired a software company to validate 14 CRM products including TP to rate the function of each. One currently available CRM was actually deemed "too dangerous to use!")

Consider the following in regards to your business:
    1. What are the core business NEEDS the CRM must support? (there's a whole lot of ginger you don't need and shouldn't pay for)
    A. Contact database - dual addresses, multiple emails, spouse, pets, special dates, searchable notes, etc)

    2. What functions do you want in the CRM ?
    A. Email processing and attaching
    B. Drip campaign(s) prewritten, customizable, short term, long term, etc
    C. Newsletter
    D. Business database
    E. Sync
    F. Web with simultaneous multiuser
    G. Attachments to prospect file
