Tried a new/different Google Places Method..Landed a New Client!!!

OFFLINE MARKETING

Fellow Warriors...just wanted to pop in here and let you know about my experience this morning. I purchased a newer GP wso from a well respected warrior...felt right from the start, so I just said f it, I'm doin this!

Implemented his strategies to a T and I sat back and waited. (This method involves direct mail btw) Sent the mail out Tuesday 03/27 and today Thursday 03/29 I received my first phone call at 10:49am

I was actually on the phone, so it went to vm. If I could reply the vm, I would. This potential client almost sounded desperate to talk to me! And get this, I called back, didn't say who I was, but rather asked for him by name and the receptionist said he was busy, my I take a message?

I said yes my name is Ryan with (my service/business name) and she actually cut me off and said "oh he was expecting your call, let me go grab him for you" Are you kidding?!? HA

Needless to say 10-15 min later I closed a $849 up front with a $150 monthly deal!

No, I am not bragging....more or less motivation for those who don't think this offline stuff works. It does!

TAKE ACTION!!

***UPDATED 03/30/12*** Later this afternoon I received another phone call from a prospect. We have a phone meeting set up for Monday. Call was very positive, so I am very optimistic! Thanks for all the support guys!!!!

I don't like to be a negative thinker, for the most part I am not, but I'm curious to see what direction this thread takes.

No negative vibes here David....I actually follow your posts as I think you have some good views.

This is only for inspiration. I am not saying that it will happen like this every time.. but what I wrote is exactly what happened.

Sometimes people just need a little boost.

Lee Cole's WSO is responsible for prompting myself to take action in November, and ultimately responsible for 10's of thousands of dollars in my bank account since that time frame.

Direct mail rocks, his letter is pretty good, simply copy and paste, plug and play, drop in the mail.

As long as you qualify the prospects, it works.

He also has an offline skype group that is really active, and you see these sort of "posts" in the skype group ALL THE TIME. People are closing left and right with direct mail (or at least getting calls back), AND even just dropping off letters in FREE usps/fedex envelopes their selves.

Um....they aren't just free envelopes for people to take and use when they drop off materials. They're actually for usps/FedEx customers to use when they mail/ship stuff.

I sure hope the WSO doesn't advocate doing this.

Yes, I even went as far as calling and emailing Lee to tell him about my first success with his method and to tell him if he ever needed a testimonial or something I would be more than willing to do it! It's sort of like cold calling, and getting past the gatekeeper, getting the sales letter past the gate keeper, with a cold walk in :-)

Who am I to judge them, what they do when their backs against the wall and they have mouths to feed? More power to them. I don't think fedex will lose any money, or miss a beat.

Also, I can not say if they paid for them or not, or what their intentions are/were. From what I understand, they had "a hallway full of them" from their other ventures.

The WSO advocates mailing, and paying.

Congrats on your sale. How did you qualify? How many did you send out?

I worked another one of Lee's methods this morning. Call 40 people with the Google Places script. I received 10 emails. I just got done sending 10 Google Places PLR's.

  After removing my 3d glasses it's apparent that this was not a veiled attempt to sell a WSO.

I am actually the video testimonial, I made for them a while back, unsolicited, because they were the reasons for my success,

I actually should make a NEWER one, but the video testimonial was what they were directly responsible for, I have grown in other ways since then :-)

Love to see any of y'all in the Skype group, its a good bunch of people in there as well.

I do not promote anything on here as well, nor do I receive any kickbacks, its just refreshing to see WSO sellers, that actually go the extra mile. Of course they make money, but that is something I could never do (spend hours a day answering customer questions and running a skype group!)

Was this the SEO Rebellion, Local SEO Smackdown or his newer Google Places wso?

Lee's WSO's are so good, I had to unsubscribe myself from his list.

No seriously, he sends emails that are so tempting I just had to remove myself and stop spending $$ until I get a grip on actually making a plan and sticking to said plan until I get results.

Yes, he is still a salesman at heart, and he e-mails way to often IMO, but he also makes it very easy to unsubscribe.

Yes, if you buy his WSO, take action, and get a call back and do not know what to do he will get on skype and talk you through it, help you set up a strategy to perform the services.

His newer one, is a culmination of his WSOs into a complete "plan"

@iInvent & mrtrance....The $849 is for the one time set up fee which includes 5 targeted keywords.... I'll do all the normal stuff to optimize their listing (citations/QR codes/reviews/geo targeted videos/geo targeted photos/backlinks, etc and I rank them usually between the A-C slot on Google Places (depending on competition) and the $150 is just to maintain the listings....

  I couldn't tell which course you were talking about either... I did buy one about how pro's sell google pages... you better buy his others though if you want to understand all that he is talking about. It was very cheap but only a couple sales tips.
