Selling Business Owners Training and Consulting Package

I have recently started selling Training and Consulting Program to Business Owners. I have been tweaking and testing locally here in San Diego. I want to scale this and sell program Nationally/Globally.

I would like some feedback on my sales page and offer. I do plan on raising the prices when I do roll this out but want to make sure it is tight and right. :-)

Thanks my friends.....

Here is the main sales copy and offer below

The biggest thing that I see that needs improvement is that you are not solving a problem for them. There are no benefits to the owner to give you a grand. Tons of features, but no benefits. I know what these things would do for me, but what about the owner that barely knows what his email is?

No one cares about features, only benefits.

unless youre going to train a member of their staff, they wont have the time for 30 hours of videos and all the learning, they want solutions not more hassle as they also wont have time to keep up to date with all the regular changes in all the IM fields .

youre aiming for business owners who work in their business, when the good ones only work on their business and have you to implement the IM stuff for them

I think I see where James is going with this, based in his posts in the past. I could be wrong.

My bet is that he is looking to sell the package to a business owner who is looking to try to do the work themselves. Once they are sold they may find it too difficult and just hire him to do the work for them. A good way to weed out those that are not willing to spend money on their business.

I have already sold several of these to business owners here in San Diego and I go into their office and meeting with their marketing department. Right them a Internet Marketing/Social Media plan and give them access to video training.
It's still a work in progress, that is why I am asking this forum for feedback. Thanks

    Hi James,

I think this is a great idea personally, I've been talking to some business owners and they don't have the funds to implement a long-term online marketing campaign with a consultant but are interested in learning how to do it themselves.

What I would advise is to pose some questions in your sales page..that grabs a business owners attention and speaks to their pain points and clearly outlines how your training will help...

Something like..."Have you always wondered why your competitor is on the first page and enjoying exposure and authority online while you're stuck on page 2, 3, or further down..?" and then provide an answer on how you can help..something like that..? I just thought of that off the top of my mind

BUT I would HIGHLY recommend if you already have buyers..go BACK and ask them..why they bought your program..what problems they hope it'll solve and why it matters to them..that's exactly what you need to put in your sales page..your existing clients will give you the answers!

      Looks like a great start.

I would like to hear some feedback on how you find and contact your potential clients. I'm looking into starting consulting in a different area but the only thing that's holding me back is determining how to locate and contact qualified businesses. What sort of success rate are you seeing?

I go to many business mixers and chamber of commerce events. I also speak to small group of business owners. That is where I get 50% of my leads, they rest find me from my Social Media Postings, Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus status updates. I have sold 5 in the past 45 days and ready to turn on the traffic and branch out to other cities.

From the outline you provided it looks to be well priced at $1,000 however I do agree with the fact that you should have bonuses. Try giving access to conference calls, a help center, or some other type of support.

One thing I would change is to make another option for business owners (who see the price as an issue), to make (for example) three payments of $397 if they aren't willing to pay the one time payment of $997.

I agree with Nick. I think the price is good at $1,000. If you can find companies willing to pay more, by all means test the market. However, in these tough times, I would go with breaking the payments for those who want in but don't want to plump down $1,000 up front. But don't go back and forth for payment... just get 3/4 checks up front. First payment immediate, the rest post-dated to quarterly--you rarely get companies bouncing checks, though if this is an issue where you are, you can try what works best, credit cards etc.

This way you also have a regular payment coming from each company which gives you a reason to turn up every now and again with something to share or sell provided what you already sold them is getting rave reviews from them.

      Cheers,

      Kunle

I do have some payment options on $350 per month for 3 months....but I don't like chasing people down collecting money. I currently have some decent size clients that have marketing budgets like an Indian Casino, National Weight Loss Company and 200 chain franchise of massage therapy centers. So I prefer to deal with bigger clients.

What do you think about a testimonials page??

James..testimonials/social proof would DEFINITELY help! If possible..try to see if can quantify your results/benefits to the end user (..using James' product we were able to save XXXX dollars/save XXXX amount of time/increase our monthly sales by XXXX%, etc).

I'd even recommend an "interview" section whereby you can get over any objections that your prospects may have. For example, posing a question like "I'm a small business, how can I benefit from this..? and then having an answer allows you to position your product to the right target market and allows individuals who aren't qualified to disqualify themselves (a question like "Who isn't this product for...?" would be fitting here).

    Hope this helps!

Perfect, I am going to visit several of my business clients and ask for a video testimonial.
I normally just send them to my LinkedIn profile for testimonials/recommendations.
      Thanks Preeti

I don't know that a bonus is all that necessary. By the look of the package James is already providing some great value, which is all that really is going to matter. There is no reason to have to give out a bonus unless the product was not very strong. I don't see this being the case.

LinkedIn is great too (it's helped me quite a bit with gaining offline clients) but videos are just the extra cherry on top! People love watching them and now these people are REAL!

Another idea: target new prospects in the same industry as your current ones, people like to see what their industry/competitors are doing and re-confirms the thought.."hey..if it's working for them...it'll work for us.."

    Good luck!
