Google Places reviews????

My chiropractor client is interested in passing out cards telling clients to leave a review on Google. To simplify it, I was thinking about purchasing an easy to remember domain and just forwarding the Google Places link to it. What are your thoughts on this?

That's a great idea. I would also suggest putting a QR code on the cards that links to the Google Places page as well.

Rolltide, I just implemented something for a client that has averaged him 4 reviews this month so far, about 3 weeks into implementing, some others said they have reviewed for him , they just have not shown up yet.

It also funnels bad reviews to him, and the good ones to the net.

Skype me later I can explain and show you, something I can't make public here on the forum to protect my client, obviously.

I know what you are talking about... It was a WSO here.
It is directing customers to a review portal.
Once at the portal they have two options.
      1. Leave a good review
      • Redirected to a page with 4 links for different sites they can leave a review at
      2. Leave a bad review
      • Redirected to a page with a form the customer can fill out describing their poor experience with the company
      • The form gets forwarded to the business owner
      • The idea is it's rare people leave a bad review in more than one place, one they get it out, they are content.

Slow is to be expected. Maybe 1 in 10 of his patients will do this. But the ones who do are well worth it. He just has to stick with it.

Otherwise, find out and correct the way he or his staff is presenting the proposition and telling patients what and when to do it.

I think the problem with clients giving reviews is the "What's in it for me" syndrome. Now do not shout me down here.

As a Chiropractic patient, who goes on a regular basis, I feel that people, need some incentive to give an honest review, whether good or bad. Of course the ones who have had a bad experience, may never go back, however, I do think people need a little nudge to give reviews.

One thing my Chiropractor does, is every 6 months, gives a sheet, asking for a review good or bad and explains how people can do this. i.e. full instructions step by step that an 8 year old can follow is necessary (remember many people are not internet savvy especially the older clientèle) then he also tells them at the bottom of the sheet, if they give a review good or bad, they can have a gel icepack on their next visit, if the review shows up. He then gets his receptionist to check all reviews that month, and note against name in the appointment book if a review has been done, thus giving them a gel icepack when they next come in.

By having a set period, he finds he can control things, and more importantly CORRECT THINGS as they go

He finds because he is so open, even those who may give a bad review do come back, they get gel ice pack, and he gets a chance to discuss things further with them

I can tell you his business has flourished, to the point he is booked out most of the time, as people feel they are listened to and complaints acted upon.

Take for instance this one - one review was that people with colds etc still come for there appointments and sit in the same room as healthy people. One woman was going through chemo and she complained that she had to leave and set another appointment because that person was sitting there and she couldn't be near anyone with colds etc.

He made a big change, and now anyone with colds etc, he gives them a disposable mask, to wear whilst waiting, plus now has hand sanitizers at the entry door, plus in the middle of the reception area

Maggie- Getting people to leave reviews can take some effort. I like the idea of controlling it so you can respond to them. In my experience many bad reviews can actually be turned into raving fans if you respond to their issues.

Creating an environment of trust goes a long way toward building that kind of relationship that will build his business for a long time.

I bought a wso last fall that provides these cards in a very nice fashion. You might like the way this is setup along with the unique review incentive placements (non aff link)
