Lil' help with pricing guidelines, if you please...

I am finalizing some numbers on a few proposals and want to make sure I do not shoot myself in the foot, or anywhere else for that matter. The questions regard web developer sorta stuff. I know the real answer is one collective, "It depends," so I'll lay out the following assumptions:
  • Normal offline business page, where the focus is online marketing presence versus the page being an actual sales platform.
  • Need not be extraordinarily fancy concerning customization - a sharp looking template (yet customizable) can be used.
  • Installation of a few run 'o da mill widgets (email signup, twitter/facebook feed, etc.).
  • 99.9% of traffic will come from SERPs, so algo friendly programming (and a developer who knows the difference).
  • No content creation - I have that covered.
  • Probably no more than 30 pages total within 6-10 main menus.
  • 4-6 banner type graphics per page (banner creation not needed).
  • Ability for a non-programmer to add content/pages in the future.

The questions:
  1. I'm not a low-baller and prefer to work with professionals. If it were content I was sourcing, I would sub out to somebody charging $35-$50 for a 500 word article. Using a corresponding price scale in the developer world, what is your guess as to what I can expect to pay?
  2. What is a reasonable turn around time to expect?
  3. Although I am sure I could find someone on a site like elance, that ain't my sorta thang. If I am going to pay somebody x amount of dollars, I want that x to go into their pocket. Not x-y, with y being taken off of the top by a third party who is doing nothing for me. I would rather snag somebody from this forum, where the deal is: "Twenty bucks please. Thank you. Good luck." instead of, "Give me yer twenty bucks plus a percentage of every job you land off of your ad." That being said, and using writing again as an example, I have surveyed quite a few writer's ads, clicked on many samples and found several samples that contain the most basic of errors. In addition to everyone scrambling to the bottom of the price scale - which scares me a bit and does not inspire confidence - can I expect the same from developers/programmers advertising there?

Thanks in advance for any of those three questions you wish to tackle.

    You could probably find someone to do it for $200-300 here if you take a look in the warriors for hire section. That way you would have higher profit margins.

    I personally would probably charge $1,500 or so since it is kind of basic... but it just depends on who you want. You can find people willing to do it for $50 I'm sure.

    I don't know about content creation, I either do it myself or hire someone for $5 per article and then skim through it and adjust it, usually takes me 5 minutes. I'm not going to be much help there, sorry to say.

    It depends on how comfortable you feel about the price.
    However, I wouldn't go any lower than $495

    Template= $35 on Themeforest
    Hosting= $10/month
    WordPress= Free
    Domain= $10
    Plugins= $????
    Banner Images= $5 x 6 images --- $30
    Setup Time= 3 hours max x your hourly rate
    Profit= $???

    Total Cost of Website = Everything above added together

    Why do you care about an entity getting a cut? The advantage of those sites is you have some recourse if you don't like the work. They (the worker) are protected, you are protected and you can see how people rate their work. You ask about the issues of poor work yet are not willing to use a service that in fact allows you to mitigate that risk. You get lousy work in all venues, just like in the "real" world. Being able to get a refund or have it re-done is a good deal in my book.
