How To Earn $50 An Hour Providing Unique Vehicle Service

How many of you own a vehicle that the door handles, bumper or mirrors are faded or turning white? My guess is many of you own a vehicle with these issues.

How many of you think that used car lot dealers have these same issues with the cars they are trying to sell? That's right, a lot of them.
What I'm about to teach you is how to get used car lot dealers to gladly pay you to fix those issues.

The rest of this report is going to give you the steps needed on how to run this very easy unique service business that anyone can do and how to do it without doing any hard selling and earn $50 per hour.

Please don't let the simplicity of this service business fool you, because if you follow the steps outlined in this report you will make money, so let's get started.

STEP ONE: Take a trip to a local used car lot and walk around and notice how many vehicles you see that the door handles, bumpers, or mirrors are faded or tuning white. The reason I tell you to do this is so that I can prove to you that this is an issue and a needed service.

STEP TWO: Order a bottle of the special black dye called Bumper & Trim Black. You can order it online at: www.autogeek.net or you might be able to find it at a local auto supply store. The price for one bottle of Bumper & Trim Black will cost you between $10 and $15 depending on where you buy it.

STEP THREE: Once you have your bottle of Bumper & Trim Black, practice on your own vehicle or a family or friends vehicle. All you have to do is rub it on like polishing your shoes, it's really that simple. After you rub it on wait about 10 to 20 minutes and then check and make sure it's dry. Bumper & Trim Black is a dye and will penetrate into the plastic very fast. After you have done a few vehicles you will be a pro.

NOTE: If you get the Bumper & Trim Black dye on the painted surface of the vehicle, simply use some rubbing alcohol on a white rag and wipe it off.

STEP FOUR: Now your ready to make some money. Go to any used car lot and look for the worst faded black bumper. Now go inside and ask to speak with the owner or general manger. When the owner or general manager comes your goal is to get him/her to agree to watch a quick demonstration. To help you achieve this use the following script:

Hello, my name is (your name) I provide a unique vehicle service that to my knowledge no one else offers. You know how on many used vehicles the black bumpers, mirrors and door handles are faded or turning white, well I restore them to look like new and I would like to restore one bumper for you FREE to prove this to you. Is this OK with you?

Most owners or general managers are going to say sure, go ahead. Now that you got the OK go outside back to the bumper you found that was the worst and restore one half and leave the other half the way it was.

Once your done go back inside and get the owner or general manager and show him/her the bad side compared to the side you just restored. They will see the big difference and love it.

When you know the owner or general manager likes what you have done tell them the following:

If you like I could come by once a week and restore any vehicles that need the bumpers, mirrors or door handles fixed.

If the owner or general manager is interested they will ask you at this point how much you charge for your services, so let him/her know you charge the following:

Door Handles - $5 each
Mirrors - $10 each
Bumpers - $25 each

STEP FIVE: Buy a 3 part carbonless invoice book at any office supply store. You are going to have to bill the car lot dealer, so you will need the invoice book to write out what services you have provided. Make sure your name and phone number are on the invoice, so they can call you if they have any questions regarding your bill.

Here is how you should fill out your invoices. Where it says quantity write the year of the vehicle. Where it says description write the make of the vehicle and the VIN #. All this info. can be found on the vehicles front window sticker. Where it says price write what you restored. Where it says amount write the total amount due for that vehicle. Once your all done with all vehicle for that day add up all the amounts and place the total at the bottom of the invoice and circle it. On the first of each month you will mail a bill to each car lot you work for with copies of the their invoices and they will then mail you a check shortly after they get your bill.

Well, I have given you a unique money making idea with little to no competition, so if you decide to follow the steps in this report you will make money.

I wish you much success!

Are you crazy Martin? How can you expect any member of this forum to actually go out and do MANUAL LABOR? And, on top of that, first spend money buying the product and to top it off, actually practice to acquire the skill needed?

Nah, better to hide behind a computer and wish for riches to fall down from the sky... 98 people has looked at your thread and not a single response so I must be right.

    Just kiddin', lol...

      Eva,

Lol, I know of all the money making ideas I have posted here, this one involves some real work and labor, but I figured it was worth sharing for those few who still don't mind getting their hands dirty

      All the best,

      Martin

Interesting stuff Martin. Is the product's name Forever Black Bumper and Trim? If it is cool. Need to factor in the costs of the supplies and you really have to come close to $45ish per car. I guess dealers can tag the "restoration" cost to the price of a better looking car easily.

Hey Martin, is this something that you've done yourself?

I've detailed cars for years, but always stayed away from deal work because it is wholesale and many won't pay much more than you're claiming per hour on this service to get the entire car detailed in our area. I'm not knocking the idea, but part of me thinks that it may be difficult to find enough dealers to go through this. I know people that do pinstriping with vinyl stripes, and in the past good money could be made there, but work is harder and harder to find as those dealers cut back. I've done wood grain kits, stripes, and I've done trim restoration to some extent, headlight restoration, and got involved in windshield repair a bit, but I would be interested in seeing how many people could actually make this kind of money and get dealers to go for it anymore.

Best of luck to anyone pursuing this. Come back and let us know how it went if you do. I'd sincerely be interested in seeing if the market for this exists much anymore, and if so, how much money can actually be made hourly, and if enough business can be found to keep one busy at all.

      rackemup,

Yes, the product is called Forever Black Bumper and Trim.

Now, I just want to also add that you can offer this service on craigslist and promote it to people who are selling used cars and exsplain the benifits to paying for your service as it will help to increase the value of thier car, so they can sell it for more and make their car look better and make it easier to sell, etc.

      To your success,

      Martin

I agree with umc. I also used to detail cars, and in my experience used car lots are the worst place to look for that kind of business (unless you like to work for peanuts). The problem is... most of them already have some kid who they pay $8 or $10 an hour that does all their detail work.

I don't want to discourage anyone from trying this, but just want to let anyone reading this to know what to expect.

For anyone wanting to make some real money detailing, I highly recommend targeting individual car owners in wealthy neighborhoods.

        Brandon,

I do agree with you that it's gotten harder to deal with car lots and dealers, which is why I did make a post above saying that working with the general public and providing this service to people selling used cars on craigslist, etc. to help them make their car look better and to help it sell for more.

        All the best,

        Martin

          Hey Martin,

Yeah... I think you'd probably have better luck going that route. Since this is such a simple task that anyone can do in a few minutes, the real trick would be convincing your prospects that this is a job that they actual need you for. I would definitely target the "affluent" if I was going to offer this service, as they are more likely to pay for simple stuff like this than your average "working class" folks are.

For such a tiny investment though, there really isn't any risk... so it definitely wouldn't hurt to give it a shot!

/\ Same exact thing for landscaping. Landscaping is actually a great way to make cash imo if you are even a little bit intelligent.

Advertise strictly to wealthy neighborhoods just like you said. Actually read about how to landscape properly. Pay and train young college men and outsource the work. Just invest in equipment at first get it all cheap. My cousin does this for a living and pulls in over 6 figures a year. Because he doesn't actually landscape, he sells ice lemonade at carnivals/fairs/flea markets on the side I've seen him profit $2gs in just 1 day. It is labor though.

Still great ways to make money. You can outsource a lot of things if you're willing to make the investments and put all the bricks together.

Super dynomite way to pick up a few $$$ plus open up a sales door for advertising with the car dealer but go one further... create this report along with at least a dozen easy repairs on a vehicle then turn it into a CD or DVD that you offer to the car dealership to sell or give away to clients and you share the sales plus when a person plays the disk the videos can have links built in to your website(s) that endorse or promote something to do with the care of a motor vehicle. If you promise to put the car dealers ads / promos / links on the disk as well I'm betting that they won't mind promoting the disk. there is a product/s for "restoring" the headlights also, anyone have a recommendation as to which one is best?

seems like a natural tie-in with the touch up on the bumpers and trim, maybe making an easier sale for not a whole lot more work?

The only way that I've found to effectively restore headlights, not just smoke and mirrors that makes them look shiny but washes off later, is to wet sand them and then seal them with a synthetic sealant. There are various products that will shine them up and they will appear to be restored, but wet sanding actually removes the damaged layer of material and then you polish and seal it for long lasting results. We've done it on a few cars. Most people don't seem to honestly care about it.

          c.t.coburn,

To tie in headlight restoration is a good idea and if you do some searching around online under auto repair services, you will find other tie in services you could offer, such a windshield chip repair or vinyl or leather hole repair, etc.

          All the best,

This is a great idea. I told my brother about it and surprisingly enough 3 small car dealerships hired him! They were "buy here pay here" lots and they were appreciative of the service. They want him to come back weekly - how does it get any better than that?

All this happened today. He already had the Bumper & Trim Black Dye so he already knew that it worked. He never thought about providing a service with it.

Or, is it something you came across and decided to share some of the details.

The reason I ask is because a few days ago I read a report outlining this whole process in detail along with examples. The report was dated from a few years ago.

Or, is it something you came across and decided to share some of the details.

The reason I ask is because a few days ago I read a report outlining this whole process in detail along with examples. The report was dated from a few years ago.

Yup...a guy named "Jason Hatchet" wrote a booklet about this exact service a few yrs ago... even quoted the same prices as above.

Jason and his wife Dawn started this biz some yrs ago. They're still in Spokane, WA however....they've moved up in the "Money" area by providing "Scratch Removal" service...which is far more lucrative for the time spent.

Jason also did "ODOR REMOVAL" and "HEADLIGHT RESTORATION".

In fact....there's a guy in my area who specializes in JUST "Odor Removal"! "YA CAIN'T SELL A SMELLY CAR!

He calls on 8 Car Dealers a day and only works 4 days a week. Does 16 to 20 vehicles a day and gets $40 ea! Visits the same dealers every week.

Reason I know is...the guy wanted me to buy his biz last year. In fact, Jason Hatchett got this guy started in the "Odor Removal" biz.

Google "Jason Hatchett" in Spokane, WA and you could probably buy his "Black Plastic Renovation" report....which he titled, "SECRET CAR SERVICE"!

          In fact....here's a note from the original author, Jason Hatchett;

"Yep, that's basically word for word the report I wrote back in 01. It's been plagiarized so much that I finally just started just giving it away for free."

Thus....Google "Jason Hatchett" up in Spokane, WA and you can probably get a Copy....for FREE!
