What do you guys use to create your calling lists? I'm diving head first into cold calling. I was wondering what is best for creating calling lists? I need to get a list ASAP.

Thank you all very much.

I use InfoUSA which I can access for free through my public library online. You should check that out.

As the other poster mentioned, InfoUSA is one of the best. If your budget is non~existent, try the internet...there's a plethora of leads available. Not knowing what you sell, it's tough to make bulls~eye targeted suggestions, however, can't go wrong with any of the online yellow page sites, craigslist, etc.

@Phila ~ I am HUGE into metal detecting. Been doing it for many years. Do you as well? I can't PM yet, but, I have a few suggestions for your site, if your interested. I don't want to do it here and get this thread off topic though

Why through a library? I did check the website out just now and it looks like you have to purchase the lists. It's free at the library?

      Could you please explain?

      Thank you for your response.

Do you have a target market? If you do, draw a straight line to it's trade association and it won't take much research from that point to develop a list.

I will be targeting landscaping service owners at first. How would I go about researching it's trade association?

Sorry for the dumb question, I'm very new to this industry.

          Thank you for your response.

    Hi Abbot,

I kid you not. Just do a search on Google for landscaper + your city or landscaping company + your city, etc.

Look at the top ten organic results. At the bottom of each company website page, you'll usually find an association logo of some kind for the landscaper's member association.

Just make a note of all of the associations you find. Once you've completed this, then visit each site. You'll be pleasantly surprised to find these type of associations will often times have links to all of their regional and national counterparts.

Most of the time, you will also be able to pull up their active membership directories too which usually contain the biz owner's complete information.

    Enjoy
