Your Clients Results...

Just curious,

On average, what types of results are your clients getting?

I know there's a million different variables, but how many leads do their websites generate for them through Adwords campaigns/SEO campaigns you've done for them.

Do you often go in and put a unique offer on their site to entice people to contact them? Or do you just run it as is?

Once again I know all of the different variables that could be leading to the success or demise to a clients online marketing campaign, but I don't feel that my clients are getting the results that perhaps your guys' clients are, even when they are ranking well with an enticing offer.

I know this is the true "marketing" part of offline marketing and the results you get for your clients are where your actual marketing skills come into play, so you may not be willing to share your exact methods.

But, I've even taken offers from Groupon that did really well, put them on my clients site with no bites.

There's a thing around here obviously about the fear of cold calling, and the biggest fear being rejection. I've now realized my fear is that, I don't actually know in my heart of hearts what type of ROI they will get from my efforts.

Now, if I went in and absolutely killed it for an industry, I'd have no problems kicking down every door in a neighbouring town in the same industry and telling them what's what!

Sorry for the kind of sideways jibberish post, just a thought I had before heading to bed.

Much appreciated for any replies.

Thanks,

James

What industry is your client in? It is very possible to get a good amount of leads without the use of any sort of special offers. Keep the site simple, make the contact form easy to get to, and if you offer anything - depending on the industry, you may have good luck with "free consultations" or "free evaluations".

If you provide more detail about your client, that can help, but any answers you get to this would be 100% irrelevant unless they fit your client's exact industry.

Also, a good rule of thumb to estimate how many leads you can get for a client is to figure out the search volume assume that if you get them on the first page - they may get 5% of that. That may be a conservative estimate - but that depends on the current competition...

As you said, there are 1,000,000+ factors that go into it all. Why not try sharing more about what you've done and then someone can offer suggestions that you can implement?

    Hi James,

3 of my clients have asked me to take the sites down because of the work load.
( I didn't, I just took down their contact details)

I know of 2 that have put on extra staff and I heard of another (from one of his competitiors) that did the same.

I have 13 clients as of today and not one has mentioned to me about a lack of performance. As all emails come to me first, I would agree with this.

In the beginning I was dubious as to whether I was providing true value but I have come to the conclusion that my clients are miles in front due to my reluctance to ask what I though my services were worth.

For example, one client told me he gets 2 jobs from every 5 leads I send him.
Each job profits him between $1000-$1300
    I send him over 30 leads a month. Thats 10 jobs x $1,000= $10K a month profit I send him.

Ya know what he pays me? Less than a K
    He is miles in front.

I guess what I am trying to say is this. Pick services with fairly high profits. That way you can confidently ask for $1K-$2K a month.

    Good luck mate

    Craig

It does seem like that's the case! I never really looked at it that much but that's pretty correct, even for me!

Wilder, I think you'll be just fine. A lot of what we do isn't set in stone. We need to not only provide the results but we need to be able to adjust, come up with new ideas, better positioning, better techniques, optimize our current campaigns to do better! I have newer clients that aren't getting a great ROI yet... so we're making some changes, adjusting. Do what works, phase out what isn't working, split test, track your results!

Depends what niche. I get one online contact form filled out for every 15-20 calls. Dental niche.
