Weird Client Request: Send Lots Of Birthday Emails To Same Recipient

Here's a weird request I got today ... from our biggest client, so I'd like to help him if I can (or at least give him an authoritative "you're crazy").

He wants to send a birthday email to a friend once every 5 minutes from a different sender and email address each time for 10-30 minutes or so (maybe longer).

Can't think of any reason in the world one would want to do this in the "real" world, so doubt there's a "birthday email spam" service out there ... but who knows?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Might be to fool the end recipient into actually thinking they have a birthday on that date. Is this client promoting any birthday related products or services ? He maybe counting on an impluse surge of traffic or $$$

Why don't you ask him why? it might be as simple as his friend doesn't really have a bunch of friends and he wants him to feel good.

plus if you ask why and he tells you... you may realize what hes asking for and what he really wants, maybe two different things.

btw, sending multiple emails to the same person from spoofed accounts
is called "mail bombing" and it became illegal in or around 2000

I'm sure you can find someone on Fiverr willing to do this.

OP: There are programs (some free) that are designed to batch-create email accounts (like yahoo and gmail). With a decent macro, you could be up and running.

Spoofing might work, too, although you may need windows task manager or another macro unless you wanted to do it all manually.

Third option - Create a bunch of accounts (with software or fiverr gig), and hire a VA for the day to do it all manually, at $2/hour.

Perhaps I was confusing in my original post ... I know WHY my client wants to do this (it's a birthday joke for a FRIEND) ... what I "tried" to say was I couldn't think of why someone would want to do this "in the real world" (commercially) so doubted there would be a commercial solution.

Thanks for all the suggestions, maybe the VA idea and multiple accounts would work for him.
