Client says $150/month is too much for him to pay for extra leads.

Hey guys, I've been calling a limo service provider asking him if he accepts me to forward the emails and phone calls I am getting from my site. He's been asking me how much would be and I said if he is happy with the results then $150/month (damn low price). Instead of being happy he said "Oh, we buy leads from limos.com for $1.99, can you give me 70 leads?" I've asked him how he handles the leads but he said he forwards them to the sales team (?) However, he seemed interested and asked me to shoot him an email as he was driving. I think that they buy leads that are shared to multiple companies, etc. but my site gets totally unique leads and that's the best think. How do you guys think I should write in my email regarding this? Believe me or not but I am happy.

Yea, saying what differentiates you from the competition is always good to mention. Him wanting more information is a good sign. Good luck

Try to explain him that you will forward unique leads and he will actually pay less (as percent) per leads bringing him a certain amount of income.
As Jubu said, it's good that he asked for details.

Don't try too hard to convince him or you could end up with a problem client. Sometimes those that you work hard to make happy will never be, and can become your worst problem.

    1) Find out exactly what limo.com offers so you will know how to differentiate yourself.

    2) Let him know (in a nice way) that you are getting leads and that you will either sell them to him or to his competition

    3) Point out to him that these are exclusive leads

      Do this first.

      Then

    Marci,

    This is a juicy one.

Ask him if he's willing to pay you $1.00 per click (set up a lead generation site for his business -- however, you have control, so you can track the clicks through) and then he ALSO pays you a commission on EACH ACTUAL CUSTOMER who buys!

This would be a win/win/win situation.

Edit: Don't offer this for just this company, pitch this to other niches / business industries.

    Cheers,

    JMB

Well, it's hard to beat limos.com to tell you the truth. I have a couple rental sites that I have for limo drivers and companies. It isn't one of the more profitable niches, that's for sure.

When someone says $150/mo is too much, they are not in your market, move on and go to the next.

He already asked can you send him 70 leads, so can you? He would only be paying $139.30 to the other service for that much so unless you can give him more then why would he go with you?

Just wondering how you can justify $150 if you can't do better than 70

Lower your price and sell the leads to 3-5 companies. Then everyone's happy.
