I am about to close a client for a simple $199/month job. The client needs additional work done for google places and their website. sHould I be upselling before we sign the contract for this first deal, or should I give them a month or two so that they know my services are good and can trust me before I upsell them for more?

    People might not agree with me on this one, but I wait until my work has produced some results...whether is be a higher organic seo ranking or a higher Google Places page, etc...that way the owner can now fully trust you and your work....thus making an upsell that much easier!

      I agree with this and it also makes things a lot easier. Once a job has been done and it has been done good, or even well, then upselling becomes less difficult.
