How to get government contracts?

Hello. I'm in search of ways to improve my business and think that it will be great to get contract with government. I know it is hard and I think that I'll need some help with this issue. After some research I've found gsaapplications.com which is offering help, does anybody knows them?

    At the federal level you probably need to get in touch with the local GSA (General Services Administration)

    GSA schedules are expensive and time consuming to procure, and difficult to maintain. A GSA schedule is NOT a performance contract, but rather a standardized, vetted service offering. This means that after you take on the investment of getting "on schedule" you still have to solicit government agencies to request your services. And, if you don't bill at least $25000 per term through GSA, they close your schedule.

    There are other ways to go about this though. I would suggest contacting your local PTAC (Procurement Technical Assistance Center) service center. They offer free courses and assistance to help you learn how to get federal and state government contacts.

    I designed a website for a branch of the British Government in December, I and my staff had to be vetted by the home office and sign all sorts of documents to protect privacy etc, I charged a lot for the site and still haven't received payment because the clearances haven't gone through yet.

    Pain in my ass so far. Although I think that the benefits of saying that we have government contracts on my website will be worth it's weight in gold.

      AS I see you're in right way! gsaapplications.com have used some friends of mine to get contracts with government and they've got what they wanted, you should try them personally
