Watched a webinar the other day by Matt Carter and Eric Lancheres about a new Panda Breakthrough program. Am trying to decide whether or not to buy it as it is $497.00.

Does anyone have any experience with this product, or suggest another product that will supply "How to Keep Google Panda Happy" type program for people in the SEO business

Any info would be appreciated.

Easy answer: DO NOT SPEND MONEY on such a product.

First, Panda changes every other week and coupled with Penguin, no "expert" can know what is happening at the moment.

Panda is mostly about good practices and creating awesome content your readers will want to come back to.

If you do that, you will not need to spend that OUTRAGEOUS amount of money to get the same advice in many more words...

Thanks for that - is there a product we can buy that keeps us up to date with all the changes as they happen with Google? That would be worth the money to any SEO company.

      Right and wrong.

Experts do case studies all the time, and do in fact know what's going on with Panda/Penguin/Updates. They don't always release this info, if they are professional SEO's.

On the other hand, there's no reason to spend $500 on this info, unless you think it can make you more than that back as an investment, which, unless you are a professional SEO--is not worth it.

Hey, thanks for your interesting in Panda Breakthrough.

It was designed to be a $10000 enterprise level SEO course for SEO professionals that were performing Panda recoveries... and then Matt convinced me to price it at $497.

In terms of price, it's actually a bargain if you use any of the content and build websites. (Not to mention the Penguin research & Secret Sauce SEO II included)

Is it for someone that's just starting out? Not really.

Someone that's been doing marketing online and has websites they want to protect or recover? Definitely yes.

The program comes with 1 year of Panda updates... not to mention the core of the course is designed to Panda-proof sites forever by presenting your site in a way that Google views it as being a "high quality site". This isn't going to change.

@ohhugo heh, people have been saying the course is one of the best programs they have ever seen... I doubt they would be saying that if it was me standing in front of a camera for 2 hours saying "create awesome content!"

      Hi Eric,

Enjoyed the webinar, but as I said the $497.00 does seems a lot of money to pay when I am unable to find anything positive about it on WF. Can you point me to some. The idea of the program really appeals to me as I am running an SEO company and have been doing well in the past, but am noticing little discrepancies with our clients site rankings.
Obviously I want to avoid this, but I need genuine help so that I can alter the way we optimize their sites from now on and also, what our pricing structure will be now that the work criteria is changing. It seems to be, less back linking and more quality content with internal and external links in the articles, mentioning the keyword only where appropriate.
I will be making a decision tonight (Aust) and would appreciate some testimonials - I know Matt is an excellent one, but has he used the product, or is he just affiliated with you? Hard question, but one I feel is necessary. Look forward to your reply.

It might be legit but I know of at least one place where the hosting company gathered data from 40,000+ sites and did a blind analysis of several sites to come up with a series (67) of recommendations.

The report is confidential but free to the members. I am pretty sure I am not breaking any rules by copy-pasting their introduction here:

If you want to read it, you can always join Sitesell. I am an affiliate but I am new to these forums so I think I cannot post a link. Just Google it.

What To Get Out of This Report

There are five areas of useful information in this "252 Report"....

        1) Take your time and read it all. Follow every link and read those landing pages, too. The background and detailed-data information will give you a deeper understanding of Panda. That will stand you in good stead as you get into the nitty-gritty of doing it.

        2) Jump to the final recommendations at the bottom of this page. You can get started immediately, but your knowledge will lack depth which ultimately may affect quality of execution.

        3) Don't miss the Panda 2.5.2 Specific Recommendations. While everyone should be doing the Audit (previously covered) & the Recommendations in this document (collectively referred to as "A&R"), we also discovered three factors specifically related to Panda 2.5.2.

        4) For future sites you build, remember these conclusions.

And, of course, once you've gone through this all...

        5) Take these final, big-picture conclusions of Panda with you forever.

P.S. They are working on a Penguin report at the moment. Since they have access to a detailed data base of 40,000 sites, they are uniquely positioned to analyse data and find out the whats and whys of things.

P.P.S. Et Eric, ils sont de Montreal aussi...

Stop blue-farting your URLs with software that will create 1 gazillion links in 3 days. Write unique content. Don't keyword stuff your webistes. Stop direct linking every back link directly to your URL.

Social media is huge, implement some sort of social strategy. Stop using 1 gazillion anchor text with 1 keyword.

Everything I said to "stop" - I never started. Everyone of my sites has survived every random animal google update. There is no "secret" sauce here, just use common sense. Stop doing dumb things.

As to the course, no impact , no idea, I am not in a position where I have sites I need to recover, so it is not something that I am worried about.

Interesting that they are from Montreal.

My approach has been different and the research has been done manually across hundreds of sites.

    1. Observations
    2. Hypothesis
    3. Testing
    4. Analyzing results
    5. Repeat

I'm probably going to meet them at a SEO conference on Friday (assuming they are going as well) so that should be fun! Thanks for pointing it out.

Panda hit the sites that had already good traffic and that were not doing everything the Google Way.

If you just start out, you should not be too worried IF you do not make the same mistakes they did. The advantage of starting from scratch is that you can only go up. They were up and went down. Some of them way down.

If you take over a site that has been hit, find out why and fix the problems. When the newest panda update comes around you might have good results.

I can't find any independent reviews on this course. A shame really, it's hard to justify paying $500 for a course barely anyone can provide feedback for. Nobody seems to know a definitive answer to getting past panda / penguin, hard to believe this guy had it all figured out, and i'm not paying $500 to see if it's legit or not!

Yeah, it seems more like a sales thing since you are forced to buy through Matt C's link, and I'll never give him one red cent ever again.

The only reviews I can find are from Matt Carter who claims he has applied all the techniques to his own sites (After first telling all his readers that none of his sites were ever affected by any algo updates, so not sure why he would need to apply this if none of his sites were affected)??

Also, it only talks about Wordpress - not sure if this would apply to static html sites as well.

The tips in the webinar were pretty amazing. I must say that the little bit given in the webinar makes most of what the "gurus" have told me recently sound like pure crap.

However, my sites have been dragging since the original Panda hit over a year ago. I just can't part with $500 right now. There's been so much crap over the last year that's eaten up my money, SMH.

I'll try to implement the tips from the Webinar and if that works I will buy the $500 package.

This guy is a scammer in my opinion. He tried selling this WSO last year for $97 - (Just Released) If You're Not Ranking #1 In Google... You Will be After You See This! - and now he wants $500. He didn't have any real testimonials and the posts by users weren't impressive. What really got me was at the end of the webinar, Dori (credibility is shot after this webinar) said, hey - your website is down. There are SO many people going to your website, that it was OVERLOADED with traffic. Gimme a break. I've had websites that did 5000+ visits in a day, and it never went down. Besides the 'website' was a redirect, so there's no way the 'website' could have been overloaded. This gig is busted.

@barefut Strong opinion from someone that's never purchased any of my stuff, never talked to me or my customers... someone who's never had any contact with me except for watching the free webinars that I gave (which everyone enjoyed).

Let's clarify a few points: My WSO (and the WSO is completely unrelated from this current product, Panda Breakthrough) was originally selling for $19 and over 200 of them have been sold with great reviews from customers. Because the information started to be outdated, I STOPPED selling it even though it was bringing in money every month.

In fact, if you look at the WSO thread, you'd see a bunch of positive reviews.

But... this isn't about the small WSO I released almost 2 years ago, it's about Panda Breakthrough which is a completely different program, not comparable to a WSO.

    Panda Breakthrough:

Panda Breakthrough is an enterprise level program designed to recover websites from the Panda penalty. It's over 6 hours of material that cover everything you need to know to recover and build Panda-proof websites. It's the only program with a repeatable method that has been working over and over again for myself, my clients AND my customers.

    Websites and traffic overload:

I have done many webinars and usually my server holds, but if you've ever used wishlist, you'll know that it's quite heavy... so when 300 people try to use it at the same time, it bogs down the CPU & memory quite a bit. Not to mention, all the files are in HD quality, so when everyone tries to download at 5mbit/sec, that's 300 x 5 mbits for ~1500 mbits of bandwidth (and my server is powerful... but 1500 is a lot).

There is a huge difference between having 5000 people view static pages... and 5000 people registering & using the wishlist program + downloading HD content. That's why the server was slow/down when we did the webinar.

Since then, I upgraded the server 3 times and it can handle ANY load now.

    Feedback:

But who cares about the server... what people care about is the program and what it will do for them. I'm happy to let you know that it HAS been helping people recover from Panda.

Many people have experienced a full recovery.
Others have experienced a partial recovery.

Some people realized WHY they were being penalized and instead of fixing it, they decided to start new websites using the principals inside Panda Breakthrough and now outrank their original websites.

Everyone that has applied the content & techniques have seen positive results.

    Reputation:
Reputation wise, it has been peer-reviewed by some of the biggest names. People go through the program and apply it before recommending it.

Some of these people that have gone through and recommended the program:

    - Matthew Carter (Known as the most trustworthy marketer in the world)
    - Dori Friend (Head of SEONitro, organizes SEO conferences and has been doing SEO for 15 years)
    - Sara Young (Internet Marketer)
    - Mark Ling (Affiliate Marketing Giant)

+ Every customer inside Panda Breakthrough

All these people have actually SEEN, CONSUMED AND APPLIED the content inside Panda Breakthrough and then have recommended it. They all have a reputation to protect and their recommendation means the world to me.

In fact, I'll be speaking an SEO conference in September because of Panda Breakthrough. Being invited to speak at SEO conferences by people that have seen the Panda Breakthrough course is an honor. Here's what the invitation said: "I have been in the SEO industry for over 10 years now and I almost NEVER invite anyone... but I would love to have you join us" This was based off the work I did for Panda Breakthrough.

People have been writing and blogging about Panda for over a year now... and still no one has come close to presenting the solution that I present inside the program. There is a huge difference between making vague claims such as "build a high quality website" and actually telling you exactly how to do it.

There's also another huge difference between claiming: "oh this and this will work" and actually having tests and proof backing it up. That's what you get inside Panda Breakthrough.. a method, techniques, tests and results.

Not only that, but I also did a series on Penguin inside the members area (About 2 hours of videos exclusively on Penguin, with more updates coming)

I also did a revised version of Secret Sauce SEO II (remember when I said some parts were outdated, well I re-did it, improved it and included it for free with Panda Breakthrough. So it's even better than before... and included)

And I'm now I'm doing special segments on passing "Manual Reviews", keeping the place fresh with updates for Panda and Penguin (although honestly, not much has changed... the foundation of Panda remains the same and the same techniques still apply 100%)

Last, but of course, not least, I have been providing email support to my customers. Spending over 2-3 hours a day with people to help them.

I'm here to help and provide real SEO research (something that's rare these days) and I can assure you anyone that has gone through Panda Breakthrough will tell you the same.

    Sincerely,

    - Eric

I was able to grab Eric's course, Panda Breakthrough. I must say that the term "bargain" is an understatement. His course covers both Panda and Penguin recovery method. In my own point of view, those two features along are worth thousands of $$.

I am an SEO expert myself but, I am not in shame to admit that most of the websites I am promoting got hit pretty bad by these two pets of google. So when I heard about Matt's webinar about google Panda, I joined without hesitation. Although at first I thought it will be a new product of Matt Carter(a person I trust in the IM and SEO world), I wasn't disappointed when Eric was the one presenting.

In the webinar he showed everyone many mistakes by webmasters that lead to a Panda or Penguin penalty.

So, I asked myself.... How can this person seem to know what is happening in the SEO world when everyone is lost?

Then I told myself.. He might really be telling the truth when he said he was doing case studies. Then... I knew that there was a money back guarantee.

So right after the link to the website was given, I grabbed the course. Paid the price of almost $500.

Now... a couple of months have passed.. I made a CONCLUSION!!!

Even if Panda Breakthrough will be priced $10,000, I will still buy it today, everyday.

Besides.. $10, 000 were just the bonuses from my clients that they gave me right after I was able to heal there SEO wounds brought to them by these two animals(Panda and Penguin).

I have been one of Eric's customers for 2 months now and he asked me to post on this thread. When I purchased Panda Breakthrough I figured that if it helped me recover my site even a little bit, then it would be worth it.

Anyhow, 2 months later and I've seen nothing but steady improvements. Eric *really* knows his stuff and what I learned inside Panda Breakthrough is going to help me for years to come. He really is an ethical marketer and has helped me via email multiple times.

Anyone that goes through his course will tell you the same thing, he's the real deal and it was well worth it.

I have been through the course and it's pretty good and specific.

He doesn't give you generic BS that everyone else gives you. He actually shows you step by step what you need to do, not stuff like "write quality content"... Like seriously...

Although it's very expensive, I think if you rely on SEO for your business it's something that you really need to understand otherwise you're screwed.

One negative was that it didn't have an ebook version and I had to sit there and watch him for hours. I would have preferred a PDF or something so I could refer back to it when needed.

    Penguin, Panda, schmanda.....

Really nothing has changed since about 2000. Google has no choice but to stick with their patent - if they deviate then a competitor like Bing can figure out what they're doing and steal it. They MUST follow the original "every link is a vote" and "PageRank" theories presented in their patent, or they will have problems.

Links are still everything. The only difference is that they now pay a lot more attention to the quality of those links, and can detect SEO patterns. To prove this we've ranked brand-new, totally blank websites ("this is your first wordpress post") for very competitive terms, we've ranked totally irrelevant sites for very competitive keywords, etc., just to prove that it can be done in order to close deals.

This is a totally incomplete understanding of Panda and Penguin. It is a small part, but only a small part.

You need to do more homework than this if you want a better understanding of P&P.

Really nothing has changed since about 2000.

      Again, this is completely inaccurate.

I have used Eric Lancheres course and have applied it to a few sites. We are certainly starting to recover on the main site of ours that got hammered by panda.

Other new sites built in a more panda friendly way are now ranking in the top 10 and some at number 1.

So I can't complain about the price of the course.

Well obviously I was being a little sarcastic. Zero, and I do mean ZERO of my sites or my clients sites experienced any negative effects with Panda and Penguin. I've got sites ranking for over 2 years now and I haven't changed anything I do.

That product is extremely expensive, but how do you know what's in it?

But there are lots of Panda and Penguin courses that are worth spending money on.

Unless I were a millionaire, I would not buy it. And if I were a millionaire, I would probably not need or want to buy it.
