Outrank.com Questions
Does anyone have any idea how outrank get their sites to rank on google ?
Their model: they buy a keyword-location phrase domain , guarantee it'll rank on google, bing page 1 or they don't pay.
They'll rent out a generic five page site (only one page loaded with content)
We've analyzed the content, they focus on keyword density, H1, H2 tags, etc, so it's well optimized...but
we've tried looking at the backlinks for their sites, there's nothing ever there. We found one site, that had two links from generic pr1 directories..
Is there something we're missing here? There's no link matrix, no contextual links, but their listings rank very high in google places. And i'm talking about for county level searches, not zip codes or individual towns or cities.
If anybody has any tips or may know anything about whether they've got some unique xml data feed deal with all of the major iyp's (for citations) or anything i'm missing, please let me know.
Please don't flame me, just curious about the competition, sometimes even when your in the biz every day, doing the work, read about all the latest trends, certain things you should be doing slip under the radar. Looking forward to hearing everyone's comments...
