Got 2 Clients! DON'T Overlook This Simple Offline Method!

Warriors, I got 2 clients just from my Friend/Relative List (1 each). I never thought anybody in this circle could be my client, and looks like this will only expand through them even further!

Happy that I was open to talk to them what I was doing so that they came up with their requirement. DON'T OVERLOOK ON THIS SIMPLE MARKETING STRATEGY. This really works!

I email everyone in my address book and also post on my Facebook page regularly to ask if anybody knows anyone needing my services.
Just yesterday I got a reply back and will have a customer as a result of that simple email.

Hope that works out for you.

For me, and just about everybody i know, friends and family
don't make good clients. I am sure there are exceptions,
but i have never seen it work out.

This is interesting because you're from India.

I was doing some research, and India is the fastest growing country in trends looking for websites, and development companies. Whereas, in certain places it has been declining.

I'm not a big fan of working with people I personally know.. In my experience they are the most needy and they always expect some sort of price cut... but if it's what you need to get started then I don't see a problem with it.

"Nameless" Warrior... What you said is True. Geo matters for some projects. BTW, your avatar with a bear bottle is nice. LOL!

Daniel, I completely understand what you say. I too faced the "price cut" request from one of those 2 clients. But the other one is ready to pay my deal! For startup, its good to go as you said!

Yeah... it was really interesting, because when I think of india, I think of all the people that are there to outsource to, no offense or anything. I never thought of it as a country where a LOT of people are looking to BUY websites.

Glad you like the beer bottle... LOL. Sometimes it gets a little crazy on WF.

Really though.. I see people and their hesitation working with friends and family, I understand it. I think differently though, you took a step forward and you have 2 more clients than the people sitting around watching have.

Great job...keep on taking that action and creating momentum! It can be a fine line when dealing with family & friends but if you set expectations upfront, that should help for both parties involved in terms of what is expected when it comes to communication, payment, tasks, etc.

    Good luck Tamil!
