SEO/web design? Probably 1-2 appointments with a dialer. I know that's a wide range your talking about 1 appointment every 4 hours versus every 2 hours...cost per appointment ranging from $50-$100 but generally we see somewhere in the middle, an appointment every 2.5-3 hours.

For the MOST part yes, with the right list (a list with only businesses without a website) we see one appointment every 1.5 hours on average.

I have to disagree with you. Mainly, because I sell more websites to people WITH websites.

The advantage is you have someone that understands the importance of a website. Next, you play the numbers that MOST people aren't happy with their current website, and don't know how to update it, or it isn't getting the results they want.

And to answer the original question.. no.. 25/hr is too much outright.. I wouldn't go higher than $10 + commission.

I regress you are absolutely correct. I was going off of the fact that when we call we have two pitches, an seo for if they have a website and a web design if they don't. Then if they agree to the seo and they're website sucks we sell them a website through a consultative approach.

I never thought of just pitching web design or redesign no matter what. Mainly because most of my clients are SEO companies first and web design second so they want the seo not the design.

But I'm glad you mentioned that thanks

@ebizman and just to agree with iamnameless about the price, $25 is too much if your paying an individual. If your going to use a company that is what you can expect to pay more or less.

let say I can buy $50 per appointment from lead gen company..so if I hire someone in-house..it should be cheaper so I expect 1 appointment per hour if he is good...or lower hourly rate and give out commission..

    Nope..

I make it a point not to pay sales people in hourly wage. I want someone confident enough in their sales ability to work on commission. I generally get more value for my money doing it that way, and they get more money for their time as well.

On rare occasions I've made exceptions and paid a base pay to 2 of the reps that I had working, but only after they were with me for about 6 months.

I think thats the standard hourly rate and as long as they are getting the required leads for the business I wouldnt see why not, I have done telemarketing in the past and was paid $20 an hour that was a few years ago though.

Depends. What's the typical revenue for what you're offering? How many leads per day do they generate? How good of a job do they do qualifying the prospect?

If the answers are low $, few and bad, then no.

If the answers are high $, several and well, then yes.
