Directory VS site rentals

Hey warriors,

Ive got a question. After purchasing Johns Bower Formula 2.0 I am confused. What should I use? Directorylistings for a number of about 100 per month or site rentals for about 300-400 a month? The point is that I can not use calling out of a personal problem which I dont like to discuss here. My initial plan was to send direct mail out to all companys of my niche in my city which contains informations about how my site can help them cause they are not on page 1 and other facts. They will be asked to go to domain.com/rent where a form awaits them. It will contain some selling stuff some grafics how the siterental/directory submission will look like and the checkbox for the TOS. After submition they have 14 days to refuse their order. After 30 days they will receive my invoice via mail and a report how many views their site earned. That way of purchases are called subscribtiontraps and is not very well seen here. But I sell value and want the money for so I dont think I am frauding them and stuff.

But what should I use? Directorys or Rentals? More clients, less money per client or less clients and more money per client..

I would love for some tips and tricks

What you choose really is up to you and your monetary goals. Seems like you would have enough info to make a logical decision without having to consult the board.
There are tons and tons of posts related to both topics made over the last few months that can be researched for tricks and tips.

Sounds like you really just want to delay taking action, am I wrong?

Thinking no matter what you do, if you are not going to call people you will have a very hard time selling directory listings or site rentals.

    Best success to you!

Most people would always say less clients but more money per client. If the projected earning are to be the same, I would choose the one that takes less work so you can move on to your next project quicker.

    why not try both?

you could either start with cheaper directory submission, prove to your customer you know what you're doing by providing them with visitors/leads then you could upsell the site rental to increase the leads.

or, you could start with site rental and use your own directory for backlink/citations to
    your leased site.

this is the route I've just started as I see both as viable business models.

While Ive been at the gym I though of listing them for 79 and then upselling them with ORM. My pitch would be to do a free search of reviews and then fight them for a monthly fee of +-500€.. 100 clients, 20 accept it, 10k more income
