Call Tracking and NAP

My clients are getting more savvy and are wanting proof that I am making their phone ring.

I know their are all kinds of call trackig solutions, callfire, phone.com, twilio etc.

My question comes down to having NAP, name, address and phone all matching.

Do you use their main phone for directories and map listings or call tracking?

Do you only add the call tracking to their site?

Does not having their main number in their site really matter, because the SE's understand that people want to track where their calls are coming from?

Do you set up two different numbers, one for new customers/patients/clients and one for current customers/patients/clients (their main number)?

What is the procedure if they decide to stop using your service, what happens to the call tracking numbers?

I use a call tracking number for every marketing Channel.

PPC campaign might have a few call tracking numbers depending on the ad groups.

SEO visitors will get a different number

Craigslist viewers will see another number.

        Cram,

Appreciate the link. This may be the site we have been looking for. I'll know tomorrow after I dig into it.

        Have a great day,

That's interesting and what I want to do. I just remember back about a year ago (a century in IM) that it was crucial to have the name address and phone number all the same. G places, citations, your site etc.

Is that no longer that case?

Personally I think it would be really important to be able to track and see where calls are coming from and that is what my clients are wanting. Proof that what I do for them works. I want to prove it to them too so they can really see how much I am making their phones ring.

Matching NAP is still critical. I would do local # on Places, site footer, site contact us page, directories FOR SURE! But then can have a graphic image prominently on the site with the tracking # for customers to call. And if have a special marketing site for PPC, can have tracking # there too, just be sure it's in a graphic and not readable text anywhere.

Use one tracking number for places, citations and the website. It's important to NOT vary that number. You can of course use different tracking numbers for craigslist and PPC... That has no bearing on anything.

Haha Linda you beat me to it!

I agree 100% keep the call tracking number in a graphic.

    Hey All,

This is a great question and something i'm considering as well.

So if a client already has a Google Places setup with citations pointing to it with a different number, is it possible to change all the citations to include the call tracking number and then also change the places listing to have the call tracking number as well?

    Appreciate the help!

I've been using Call Tracking Metrics | Dynamic Call Tracking, Call Recording & Analytics in the US and Canada

Has great reporting, analytics and shows keyword from searches. Also has white label capabilities for clients to login and listen to the calls.
