Offering Facebook Fan Pages to Clients

Hey guys I recently started my business offering online marketing to offline businesses. I plan to offer custom Facebook fan pages as one of my services. Once a page is created, how do I get my clients fan page to get liked? It seems to me like that is the hardest part and I cant imagine my clients being happy if the page I make for them is not producing results. Do you leave it up to your client to get it "liked" ? How do you guys deal with this? Any help or input is welcome Thanks guys

QR codes can certainly work in some instances, but I'd avoid making it the core of your strategy. QR codes are still a bit of an early adopter thing, and the demographics for the people who get the most out of QR codes are somewhat limited. See following article for solid demographic info.

14 Million Americans Scanned QR Codes on their Mobile Phones in June 2011 - comScore, Inc

Definitely something to do, but based on experience I'd say don't expect QR codes to prop up a clients Facebook page significantly on their own unless the business is in a sector where the customers are serious techies in the ideal target demographics.

My best results have come from simply offering up something good as a giveaway and making a "Facebook Like" mandatory for entry. You can then use sponsored stories and ads, in conjunction with simply asking your fans to pass the info on to their friends to build up. That could be a giveaway style contest where one person out of the pool wins something great, or it could simply be an awesome coupon. Either way, you need to give people something of value as a reason to click that 'Like" button.

Be careful though as there are very strict rules for running giveaways or contests on facebook.

Also keep in mind that building up a successful page rarely happens quickly, and the smaller the local market your client is in, the more limited the potential results will be. Avoid the urge to go for quick quantity of followers over quality. Remember the goal is to turn these people into sales, and 10,000 unqualified facebook likes might look good on the page but it's worth less than 10 highly qualified ones.

A lot depends on their business. Where are their current customers? How many of their customers are on facebook? etc etc.

You can help get them likes and teach them how but to truly interact with thei customers and grow their fans they need to be involved.

They could try contests and coupons to get the ball rolling.

Also now that Facebook is charging to "promote" you fan page postings it may mean that the pages that don't pay might not even be seen by their fans.

In the end the only way you can truly make a fanpage benefit the client is for them to be posting content that their fans want to see and discuss.

I like this idea as well and will try to incorporate it into my plan. Thank you

Sounds good man. I'll make this clear to my clients.

I'll combine all these methods and hopefully this will help my clients out. I just don't want to create them a Facebook page that doesn't produce results because that just makes me look bad !

If you are going to be a one offer then don't bother as you will keep having to find new clients. Expecting that telling your client to intereact with their customers is a day in dream land at best. Be a consultant and service provider not a grunt. Sell them the page with residual. You'll promote their fan page and you will interact with their customers. The customers will interact and get turned off in no one responds which is exactly what will happen if you leave it up to the Business Owner.

Now you as the solutions provider build their page, promote their page and monitor their online reputation and settle things down before they go overboard. Make it a full business model that keeps giving you an income month after month. If you don't want to have to do all the monitoring there are plenty of resources on this forum that will teach you how to outsource it for cheap.

    1. Use QR codes for those who are talented enough to use them.

    2. Use a memorable domain name to send them to the Fan Page so it is easy for them.

    3. Create a domain of FanPagesOfYourCity.com and promote your clients fanpages from their. Just make your site the first place people in your town search for local businesses and they will be coming to you begging to help them.

    4. Better yet create a Fan Page called Fan Pages Of Your City. Add your customers to your pages likes. Promote the one Fan Page. Have giveaways there from the local merchants. Local town trivia and vintage photos. Make it a fun place to go for your local city.

Getting likes for your clients facebook fanpage is quite easy. Go to Fiverr and order some facbook likes or advertise on facebook paying as low as 0.05 cent per click depending on how you optimize the ad. Unleash Your Creative Power.

There are about 20+ different ways to get Like's, too much to type...here are a few.
    1. Facebook Edging
    2. Acting as FB Biz Page and interacting with other high traffic sites with creative comments
    3. Create a personal profile with name of city that your client is in. You can add up to 5,000 people and suggest them to Like Page. (I know its against FB TOS)
    4. Facebook PPC
    5. If client has a email list, send email blast asking to join Page...

    Hi

This may seem simple, but writing to their clients and informing that they are now on Facebook and if they like the new Face book fan page they will qualifyb for a dsicount on the next purchase can be a good strategy....

Utilizing the businesses personal contacts that are already on Facebook to send people to new business page can also be effective. I agree with all the comments that say the business needs to have input, business stationery both within the business premises or in stationery sent in the post is also a good idea.

    Kind Regards

    Chris

offer free or charge them to train their staff on how to prompt the customer to "like" them on the spot. Charge them for QR code buttons that say "scan me if you like me"(especially for hot waitresses).
