Good job on getting it to the front page Rolltide. Get it to one of the top 3 positions and you'll have a ridiculous amount of calls coming in -- probably more than any one dentist can actually handle! You're gonna have to sell the leads to MULTIPLE dentist!!

  Let's say in 2 weeks it generates 20 calls. You can offer $50 per, or a flat rental rate that looks more enticing because it should come out to rent less than the per call model.

  The rental model is almost 18K for the year. Rank a website with that video? PSSHH. $$$$$
  
  From what I have experienced - the professionals are slighty harder to close down on the per lead, as the contractor types are primed for that model (per lead) - Dr's like paying the same amount per month for things, they are just use to that.
  
  I do know people, however, that have per lead model's with Dr's as well.

I have some videos on top of google for terms like landscaping city but never have been tracking the results. Do you think it is ok to use a different number on my youtube video so that I can see how it goes with it? Do you guys do that? I just checked this and its the last listing on page one. I noticed there are no thumbnails showing either, which is something I have not seen lately. I hope the Big G doesn't get rid of those thumbnails for videos. Any calls yet on this video Chris?

I don't doubt you can rank a video. I have 38 videos on page one right now.

My doubt is that videos really drive traffic or inquiries. I think they can when you have an actual product to demo or an expert giving FAQs. But most generic videos that you rank speculatively are so lame they don't drive inquiries.

Like the one you have up. That essentially gets the dentist's phone number at the top of page one because it's in the title of video.

But the video itself is a placeholder. It has no evidence, no reasons to believe the dentist is good, nothing that would make the viewer follow up.

So essentially, you've ranked a phone number.

I don't want to turn this thread into a ongoing argument about the effectiveness of video marketing - BUT, the 3-4 live calls per day that just 1 of my dental niche sites generates per day begs to differ with your viewpoint. (And yes, I have the live recorded calls to prove it).

Granted, I'm sure video marketing doesn't "drive traffic or inquiries" for every type of business, but for the dental and construction niches it surely does.

You can see a rant I've posted on my experiences with Dentists "Dentists [Lesson Learned] - Local Lead Generation" - trust me, videos drive PLENTY of traffic (live calls). The real challenge is finding someone to willing to do a pay-per-lead or site/video rental.

I appreciate your desire not to hijack this thread. And I would love to hear what you have to say about making videos convert. I would be very glad to hear that I'm doing things wrong.

I literally have had 38 videos ranked on page one for various attorney niches. They get very few views. Maybe it's the wrong niche.

I did a project with dozens with warriors setting up video sites and ranking them and we ranked hundreds of videos on page one could lease barely any of them.

I say this not to argue with you but to say that if you know of better niches or better tactics I would be very grateful to hear them. And if I need to start a new thread to engage you in that discussion I'd do it in a heart beat.

tickets are about 150...and yes, videos do work ...I use them ...and have for several years.
main thing I do is run the video in an ad on facebook, and then you get views, and up the ratings. I have noticed that G is not showing the thumbnails on every search for some reason.

Recently embedded YouTube videos on blogs have been ranking on Google organic and pointing to the blog instead of YouTube so maybe Google is changing things up again making thumbnails not showing. Just a guess.

Aussie T-Unforunately, you don't have a tenth of the info I have used to get my video where it is at today. I have many different sources I used to pull off this massive undertaking.

The video hit the first page yesterday morning. This is a holiday weekend. NO, I haven't been able to rent this video out yet. haha

If you need me to say "yes", you are in the wrong business. I didn't rank big a@@ keywords by sitting around waiting for someone's approval. I busted my rear end and spent a lot of time, money, and energy to get to where I am today with my video marketing.

All I can tell you is to TAKE ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!

Be careful about the laws behind recording calls , I wouldn't want you guys in jail .

Even when you close someone , they may want calls recorded for qc purposes , still check the state laws.

i got my start through Mr. Ryan McKinney's course. that works great for ranking local keywords. through trial and error, I figured out the keys to ranking competitive keywords for around $50 a pop.

I started with Ryan McKinney's first WSO. Then, I ran with it from there. I have taught one person on the forum already. He bought me a dugout Braves seat in return. Do your videos stay at the top? I did the "Atlanta Dentist" search from where I am and also changed location (Google's Change location option) to find that your video is on the second page.

People need a good call to action when viewing videos. They have the mindset of viewing vids online for entertainment/info. I think its a huge opportunity for online marketing.

I've been experimenting with Ryan's methods (although I build the sites using AJ Lane and Joe Troyer's system) and got a video ranked #2 (after AdWords) in five hours, the website within two days of making it "public'

Today it's at the #2 page 1 position. Bounces around from day to day. The website I built for it to link to has 3 of 10 positions on page 1, usually outranking "real" sites by vendors.

Needless to say, I'm ramping this up. I wan't much into videos until I tried this, but now I'm a convert! Planning videos for all my commerce sites.

I ran across this thread a few days late I guess, the reason I stopped is because I read Rolltide under the title and I thought "I'd better open this, if Rolltide is saying it then it might have some validity...." , only to open up and see that some Alabama redneck on a commodore 64 is taking over the internet!

...there is hope for me yet!! lol

Whoopps! It Appears the "Money-Tree" is over!

Google has apparently removed the MAIN REASON WHY businesses pay GOOD MONEY for "1st Page Videos".....the FULL COLOR THUMBNAIL.... which causes consumers to Click on the Video.

Here's an example; One of the big-guys on Ranking Videos is Mark Helton. For a long time, he's had TOP Ranking for "Tampa Windows" with a Full Color Thumbnail causing viewers to "Stop & Click"!

Well....when I checked this afternoon, the Video was still on Top BUT, the Thumbnail was GONE!

So....you think you had a hard time finding clients to PAY for your top-ranking Videos b4?....wait till you try to get clients to pay for a video that is UN-Seen!

Maybe we can talk Big G into keeping Thumbnails!

Don Alm....No Thumbnails takes away the MAIN SELLING POINT of High-Ranking Videos....Being EASILY FOUND!

Aaaahhh Crapola! My IE Browser got hit with the "Babylon" thing again. I should just stay away from IE an use Chrome or FireFox.
