Anybody able to recommend a theme that is great for a web developer site?

    Check CheerApp theme, it looks really great. If it not enough for you, take a look at ThemeForest at all, there are a huge amount of themes for WP. However all of them are premium and not free.

    I recommend Profits Theme for sales letter - style sites, I think it's ProfitsTheme.com though I got it via a WSO so maybe search the forum?

    There really isn't a web developer standard theme, probably lots of packages people will sell you so that you can look like every other one though. If you want to use WP then as the earlier poster suggested, dig through themeforest for awhile and find something you like that fits your style and looks professional.
