Easy Way To Help Restaurants Make More Money...

Hey there. I have been doing this business consulting thing for a few years now and I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve. I thought I would share a good one with you today to help you make your clients a little more money.

This will work with any business that delivers. Of course, restaurants come to mind first here.

We are going to take advantage of the sweet sweet victory list building provides.

When someone gets delivery... they of course give the business their address. Most businesses will already be keen enough to collect this data and keep it in their database. If they aren't keeping this information every time someone orders a delivery, then you must add that system before this will work.

If they already keep a database, you are set.

Here's what you're going to do... Grab the addresses and names of every delivery customer that hasn't ordered a delivery in 30-90 days. Now, you're going to send a coupon to these old customers inviting them to come back.

Direct mail works just fine... if they provided an email address, you can send an email broadcast too.

Here's a sample direct mail piece that's doing just that. This should give you a good idea of what you can write for your clients:

Hope that helps you make some more money!

Travis

Good tip! Always amazed at how little marketing businesses do after the original sale.

I know. They are usually collecting emails or addresses but they never use them. That's always a good thing for us though.

Every pizza, curry house, chinese, italian, kebabs, etc, restaurant or delivery service I know already do special offers - every day of the week.

Unless your proposal is that they undercut the dozens of other fast food joints offers in their area (sometimes very cheap to boost trade), then it's time wasted.

        This is nothing new.

HAHA, your everyday special coupon is not the same as this...

This is sending a special deal to CUSTOMERS. People who have already bought from the establishment.... People who already trust the establishment to give them money.... the highest converting traffic known to man!

It's quite obvious you've never done this method.

Ok, so let's pretend they do deliveries but do not save the names or addresses that they deliver to. What would you suggest to set up as a system for collecting that and how would you charge?

            thanks in advance, Eva

I think the idea is that when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. You made a hasty and silly evaluation of a method and now you're doubling down on it.

If you are in business and you think marketing to a customer base is a bad idea I think you need to consider government work and stay out of the private sector.

    Thanks for sharing...
I happen to like that pizza place as well.

In addition to this, you could add... text "Pizza" to 12345 to get your coupon instantly.
Now, you are building another list.

I like re-activation letters... Anyone that hasn't done them, or chooses not to, more power to them... I will do them all day long.

And whats amazing is that Restaurants are often the worst businesses at trying to keep customers - obviously they don't know the rule that it's far harder to get a new customer than repeat business.

I have quite a few restaurant clients and am constantly amazed at how little they do in the way of effective marketing - nice piece and certainly great for those want to do direct mail.
